Just played a number of Skirmish matches and noticed two things.
1. You can park a HAV at any objective point and pretty much rule the day. 3 or 4 matches were won by the opposing team doing that.
2. I found the hiding spot of snipers. Up on the pipes. Took me a few rounds to figure that one out. Snipers beware. Now your screwed. I know your spot and how to get up there, you are no longer safe.
Overall, I think I'm getting the hang of this. Having played EvE for quite a while I understand the mechanics of Skill Points and such and have figured that the skill plans used for EvE are identical to Dust. i.e. Max out the base skills such as Electronics, Engineering, Mechanics, etc. Once you have those maxed, then build from there. |

Your team's AV department was lacking then. Objectives create very unsafe objectives for tanks. |

As an HAV pilot, I don't think parking at a spot is safe if you stick around longer then 40 seconds, as smart AV infantry will make your life hell if you are anywhere near C, and B is also very dangerous to do such things. A is pretty manageable but you have the danger of Forgers sniping you from obscure angles or other HAVs rolling into your rear with no warning. |

Whatever or whoever it was, they were doing a good job killing anyone on my team that tried to take A. As soon as we got close this HAV would take everyone out in a salvo or two. And as I said before they did the same thing for nearly 5 rounds at least. Made taking A nearly impossible. |

The pipes are not the only sniping spots, dude. The hills*, the roof of the towers, roof of the smaller buildings, behind a hill in the shadows, etc.
* - A great sniping spot is available if you are fast enough to cross the RED ZONE a few times. |

Surya driver here...only time I park at an objective is when I'm quite sure there's no serious forge gunners on the other team. A proto forge gunner will pop me real quick in that situation, especially with an armor tank since it means I accelerate at the speed of cold molasses. God help me if I brush up against a wall or post. |

No idea. I have only been playing for a full day now and am still learning the roles and what not. I'm an older player (47) so the intensity of most of the rounds keep my nerves on edge and I get rattled easily. |

Oh well if it looks like us tanks are taking a beating and looking like we could take 10x more, just remember it hurts bad and that tank driver is on edge. |

*No insult intended, just my opinion*
To the OP, a tank sitting at an objective is a paycheck hanging from a stick a couple feet in front of your face.......
if you/your team cant conjure up the willpower/strategy/common sense to go AV and pop the presumably bad tank driver just sitting there.....well, some things just cant be helped i guess. |
