There have been many griefs about the creodron breach ar and with good reason. While I don't think it's op I do think it needs to be reviewed in comparison to the other ar's. The main issue is simply hit detection and the server not counting the numerous rounds that a standard ar puts out. Once that is fixed I believe it'll help alleviate the situation tremendously. I have a few ideas for balancing the ar's as a whole, but first I must express my feelings about the inadequacies of the other variants.
Standard: The clip size, fire rate, and dmg are all very well done. I mostly have no complaints about this variant other than the hit detection issue. One thing I would change is to bring in the hipfire but make it spread the longer fire is sustained similar to the assault smg. This will prevent people from spraying their whole clip without any inaccuracy penalties and force them to burst more accurately.
Burst: Same as the standard, I feel it's well done. The main issue is it doesn't become at all effective until the prototype version is unlocked. The RoF should be maintained throughout all the variants or at least closer together.
Tactical: This one is often overlooked, but has some serious potential. This variant also shows the largest flaw in the design of the breach and burst variants. The zoom is good and the dmg is decent, but the semi auto is too sluggish and the described 789 fire rate is impossible to achieve. The clip does get a bit larger with the proto version, but this model needs either a dmg buff or a larger clip in order to balance with the other ar's. Like I said, it's main problem is the sluggish response from r1 spamming.
The breach has the right size clip in the standard models but then becomes too much with the prototype model, and it totes higher dmg than the tactical but it has full auto. So how do we balance this equation? I personally believe in buffing to meet the highest denominator not using the nerf bat, but either way the breach stands out as being the predominant choice among ar's. It's a simple choice- best hipfire, dmg, stability, and hit registry ( besides the tactical). I'm fine with the hipfire not spreading over sustained fire, but it should be loosened up some and the dmg possibly brought down. At the very least, the clip size should be lowered to bring it in line with the ideal of the other ar's. More dmg, less bullets. Less dmg, more bullets. |
