Militia Gear is "ta suck" but one death in proto is 100k + a death; In Militia Gear the cost is divided by all death ever in that gear so after a day of playing the cost of buying up and playing in just militia gear in any militia fit becomes less then one single isk and even smaller over time. Now does everyone see why even though you worked your ass off to get proto gear it isnt prudent to use proto gear all the time unless your rolling in the isk. With the rumor of an increase in prices in the new build, the amount of protos you can field per fight and still make money will decrease. FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR THE IMPOVERISHED MERC |

that's the point though. I'm pretty sure ccp doesn't want all the players running around in proto gear cuz it will be too expensive to risk dieing a bunch in a competitive match. The only problem with this is of course over pricing the suit in comparison to eve ships or dust tanks ( a suit shouldn't cost more than a tank ) and that a massive eve alliance ( cough cough goons) could just sponsor a corp with tons of isk and it wouldn't matter to those dust mercs anyway. |

Sponsorship will make things fun though beside you most likely wont be sponsored long if you was a million or two isk a match. |

From what I've heard that's peanuts for EVE corps and alliances. |

Lazy mission running earns me 20-30 million an hour, more if I actually work at it. There are much more efficient ways to earn ISK though if you have the expertise/isk/skill combo right.
I doubt though that CCP will allow straight transfers to DUST accounts without some form of taxation, as otherwise that might ruin the DUST economy. |

I a eve corp commision you to take a planet and your corp looses 20mil taking it vs another corp who could take it for half that. dustie corps will be compete against ourselfs for lucritive contracts and to make a profit, eve corps could supply the isk but we would need to earn it.
Also dont forget if we dustie ask for more money than what the planets worth then eve corps might pull the rug on us and leave us we the bill. Food for thought eve can supply the money we still have to have the skill to earn thier money and make a profit |

Try billions & trillions for the larger alliances. While many EVE ship loadouts might be anywhere from 50 mil to several hundred mil ISK, they aren't generally aren't destroyed at the rate that Dust gear is. This is where the genius is on this market though. Since Dust gear is always quickly destroyed, it will allow some of the newer players to play on lower-paying matches, with lower quality gear, while the alliances fund the prototype-based matches for their sovereignty battles. The cool thing is that merc corporations can choose to spend the extra cash on high priced gear, or save that money and try to profit. If they're a really good team, they should be able to make a nice profit by spending less on gear.
CCP - you're a bunch of awesome geniuses.

100k for a proto. I run 2 complex armies, 2 repers, 2 complex dmg mods, complex sheild booster, proto type AR and a hive. It runs 64k. But I guess a heavy is more expensive. Esp weapons, not to mention the suits. Just thought of that. It eats up the isk though.
I run in the A class suit alot now. Forces me to be better and not so lazy. |

I dont think any corp is dumb enough, regardless of isk amount, to ignore increasing cost to a losing war and this is on top of keeping enemy fleets at bay. A dieing corp wont take loses lightly although I am excited to see those Goons at play |

Use what you can afford and most importantly what you can fit. If you can;t afford something maybe you are doing the wrong thing or you are not exploiting the game earning potentials. Just saying that maybe the problem is not the game but your game play. |
