I like them both. In some battles the objective is to defeat the enemie and thats it. Not all battles are about defusing bombs or hacking random computers. CCP doing a good job. They should keep them both and build on them and make them better. Why are people saying they don't like ambush? Don't ambushes happen in real wars in real life? People who don't like ambush remind me of bandwagon fans in sports. They like the team with the most players. |

Grit Breather wrote:Ambush is Dust's version of Team Deathmatch. That has very little to do with what Dust is about. It's basically a game mode put into Dust for the CoD types to start liking the game. As for real life, no. There is no modern country that willingly commited its soldiers to a "see who lives longer" battle. There is no sense in that. You either have an objective or you don't fight.

power is aways an objective. Why not ambush the enemie before they get to your main head quarters to have an advantage? |

In the context of the universe it makes perfect sense to me. The clones, so there not going to give a **** about how many die, so if you can take over a base as easily as sending in as many clones as you can and trying to wipe out all the enemies clones, your not risking the loss of a ship which you can assume is quite expensive and might even have non-cloned personell onboard.
I think people wouldn't have such issue with Ambush if there was an equal offering of Skirmish maps.
I was thinking....To defeat clones or immortals. You would have to cature them and lock them in jail or some kind of dungeons so that they can't come back to life. The longer their in jail the better for my army. That would be kool if it was a mission based on saving catured clones. |

Because...Ambush has no main head quarters? Most Team Match Games each team has a starting base, something for you too attack or defend...thats whats missing from this version of TDM. You just spawn and run around a building killing each other. I like what they did in the ME3 N7 Missions...you raided a base, completed an objective or two, held off the defenders then got an evac. Something like that would make Ambush more interesting.
That sound kool |
