To be honest, I would like to have the defend/attack game mode deleted until spawn points are fixed. I know this won't happen, so I will just post here my game impressions.
First of all, the defend/attack game mode is so horribly broken it is not even funny. There are rarely any players of the other game modes and it just boggles my mind why people want to play in games where your team just gets to stand in the spawn-zone for 15 minutes, waiting for the enemy team to win or get bored and stop shooting you with 3 tanks and snipers.
When there are equal teams, it's possible to have a nice fight, but usually it's just you or the enemy waiting in the spawn-zone until the battle is over. I'm guessing people just play it because when you are the one winning, you get lots of skillpoints. I don't care about skillpoints and it's boring when the enemy has no chance to fight back so I just quit battles when the enemy is spawn-camping or when my team is spawn-camping. Boring
The other games are just normal TDM battles where there is no spawncamping, and I enjoy them much more, but often have literally nobody else to play with. This becomes very troublesome when in a 5 vs 5 battle all the enemies know how to use vehicles and you are the only person with a forge gun, the rest just uses assault rifles to shoot at dropships and dies. This happened just last battle. I ended up with 8/3 just forge shooting dropships and tanks, while nobody from my team had more than 2 kills. Obviously, because running around with AR vs tanks gets you nothing, inexperienced players just go back to the broken defend/attack mode and hope to be in the winning team. And the vicious circle continues.
The problems are, hopefully, going to go away after more players join, but right now I would strongly recommend adding a mandatory tutorial with a quiz at the end so people will not be able to skip it. We need to educate testers about how to fight vehicles and why joining other game modes is more fun once you know how to fight properly. |

Well, given this is an MMOFPS, even though most of the larger scale elements have yet to be implemented, most of the people who will be drawn to it prefer objective gametypes to TDM. I know I do. The spawn camping can be annoying, but it isn't annoying enough to make me not want to play Skirmish. |

Oh please. This is so much an MMOFPS as Call of Duty is. The same "play to unlock stuff" mechanic is in and the battles won't even reach 100 players because of console limitations.
I'm fine with TDM and objectives as long as the spawn locations are random. Right now it's just not fun and should be removed and added back when fixed. |

I believe my post mentioned how most of the functionality isn't in right now. Once the objective spawning mechanic is fixed, and we get some map variety, everything will start to run a lot smoother. But the point of us being here is to -test- this game, so we should be playing as many matches in each gametype as we can to provide the best feedback possible. |

Skirmish it's all about logistics and l2p thing... as always =) U can place spawn points... just do it in the right place... It'll even get +15 Team Spawn bonus for every spawn... and in a meter of seconds your team spawns behind enemy near point A\B\C (choose one u like and capable to rush\fly to) as well as a good piloted dropship spawned behind enemy visible area (isn't pretty far just move away from the default spawn point) can bring u anywhere(Though no skill points for them and this should be fixed! but that's a different discussion), so it pretty much always chance to turn it from spawn rapping to some fun game even if you lose it in the result... You can't switch teams but that is required for future EVE sync and understandable...
If you think that in ambush there is no spawn camping... then go play some more ambush =P When it's a full game(there is a 2-3 full games in US prime time it's nights for me but... it's FUN) again right logistics win... Killing most of the HAV\LAV\Dropships, just select militia heavy and most of them could be killed excluding very good skilled and fitted (but there dropship\tank cost more then this game with a win especially for the dropships where you get 0\0 game in most games where your performed well, but again that's a different discussion).
If your team isn't good enough with thinking nothing will help it anyway...
