I dont typically have any framerate issues. I know you know this, but overheating is an issue sometimes.
I found putting a laptop cooling pad under my ps3 works wonders
you should give it a go. |

yeah, once the ps3 heats up framerate should definitely go down, its just reality. check to make sure the vents arent clogged up by the carpet or something and that there isnt a **** ton of dust. Probably also a good idea to put the ps3 by the tv instead of on top of the stove
(i made a funny)
but seriously tho, i bring up overheating because if it was from the beta, i would be having issues too, which im not.
good luck bud, hope this works itself out |

If that doesn't work, put your PS3 on it's side with the disc slot on the upper end. Never overheats for me now that I've done that. |

I believe the fan in my PS3 is shot, so I stick a mini bedside fan behind it, blowing almost parallel to the vents (slightly angled towards the vents, to promote air currents). A guy at gamestop also mentioned that issues with download games could be a problem caused by a defective/damaged core in the processor, suggested I send it in for a check up. I haven't done that yet, but it might be something to look into yourself, if it happens with most download games.
Section 8: Prejudice, L.A. Noire, Assassin's Creed II - all of these games get ****** framerates for me (all downloaded). I don't seem to have problems with Blu-ray games though... |
