I can already send swarm missiles their way... not sure why so many people have trouble with this... |

SOMEONE has to be able to see them.
Doesn't have to be me. |

Sephoran Griffith wrote:Are you claiming that you can lock on with your swarm launchers if you cannot see them, but another player can? I've done it multiple times before. There IS a range limit, but it's further than the current draw distance |

Target is outside draw distance, but there's a marker over it from someone else having eyes on the target. If there isn't an obstacle between you and the enemy, you can lock without needing them drawn in. |

If there isn't an obstacle between you and the enemy, you can lock without needing them drawn in. sounds like i'm a victim of horrible teammates then. but i'm rather proactive in chasing vehicles, so i guess if i can't see it nobody can, which would explain why i've never seen any practical benefit from this. though in the case of tower campers, how often does ANYONE see them until they actually go up there? it almost seems like the height of the tower damn near IS the draw distance. i can occasionally see them if i'm super close to the base, but then the angle is so sharp that my missiles always hit the tower on the way up There are a couple of tricks with the towers. Scope in, and try to lock even if the Dropship hasn't been drawn in - you can get them to show up from a LONG way outside draw distance (at least 100m from the base of the tower) if you can get a direct enough line on them. Also, try to take the highest ground you can get to. |
