I really hope not. All it does is lag up a game horribly. I told my friend to turn his off and first thing he said was it played better off. If people want to record -- you go out and buy a DVR. They are becoming easily purchasable, and available. Even GameStop sells them now.
for me the only time it lagged was when my connection was bad, maybe your friend doesn't have a good enough connection to run theater mode |

Peer-to-peer connection is always dependant upon the connections of every in the room. Is his the best? No. He lives in America. Compared to them we're sorely lacking behind. As for his connection inside the states? It's average. The game itself needs servers, and not a peer-to-peer connection.
well is Dust peer-to-peer or is it like BF3 where you get your own server |

It would hard to implement without spies all over the place, though. Maybe you could only spectate members of your corp or spawn as a camera drone that can be destroyed by the enemy or something. theater mode is where the game records your every game you play its pretty useful if you want your gameplay public without buying a game capture |

Rorek IronBlood wrote:Probably general information.
- Minimum/Maximum Rank Requirements
- Map
- Game Mode
- Score & Score limit
- Maximum Amount of Players
- How many players are currently within
- Region
- Mic availability
- Ping
- Whether or not it is UCRR (User Created Ranked Room) or ORR (Official Ranked Room)
- Time limit & Time left in match
- Name of server
Usually though for ORR's most developers choose to color them a certain color, or seperate them entirely, and/or both. I could add more, but it is dependant. If it comes to UCRR's then you could add in some minor other details. that seems like everything that should be on a server browser now i'm new to dust whats the differences between UCRR and ORR |

The general differences are minor. With exceptions that ping can vary a bit more, and usually the one who created the room has more control. He can usually choose to kick/ban players (if there is no voting system), and can tweek certain things. Game modes, players, rank requirements. Weapons available, or classes. Sometimes you can find great UCRR's, but sometimes you join and find out you joined some random arse-hat's room. Where he'll kick/ban, or clan stack. Things can go awry quickly at times. However if you find a good person running a fair UCRR then the game is just great, and fun. ORR's usually are not monitored, but at the same time are standardized, and harder for players to muniplulate. Sometimes you are lucky though and they are arbitrated and you may find a mod, or admin making sure everything is running smoothly (this happens very rarily though.)
I tend to prefer ORR's to UCRR's, but as the game gets older, or if you want some variants then UCRR's are perfect. Especially for clan battles, or clan matches, grouping, whatever really. That is part of the fun though.
yay another game where i have to deal with prick admins thats gonna be loads of fun |

He's complaining about giving the match-creators power. If the person who created a room can boot and ban people from it at will, there WILL be people who create their own private rooms and boot anyone who doesn't play the game how that person thinks it SHOULD be played. well I have had a horrible experience with admins in BF3. You kill an admin, take his vehicle, ect. your banned and stuff like that just gets me pissed off |
