Hey, I heard that the Militia vehicles are being removed next patch.
While yes, it is a BIT silly as it stands now, with the infinite tanks and dropships, I think there should still be a free LAV. Now, the LAV maybe should have it's mid and lowslots removed, but keep the LAV's around. |

Then they would still be used as one way taxis. As long they are endless and free it will keep the way it is right now. IF you really need them it shouldn't be a huge problem to buy some BPC of a cheap LAV then. |

Man I'd love to see a militia motorcycle that could take a passenger that can fire, GTA style. It would be fun for tricks too. Make L1 and R1 f/r brakes for wheelies and endos. :)

I don't agree. LAVs should not be militia either. When I'm in my heavy, I end up calling a LAV as soon as I spawn almost everytime because heavies take too long to run from point to point. Or when ever I want to do suicide runs at a tank, I'll just call up a LAV and go find the tank. Things like that should cost me at least a little bit. They give me a huge advantage when roaming, can fit a missle launcher, can run ppl over, their sheilds/armor can be used in addition to my own... Even though its just a basic LAV, it still gives a rather nice advantage, which I think that advantage should cost me some isk.
If they removed all of the slots (even the turrent), it would still be an advantage to quickly get from point to point. Or even used as a decoy. I still think this should cost some isk because it is an advantage. Something that you have to decide if you want to blow some isk on getting around fast.
It may also be nice if they ever reduce the team limit for calling in vehicles because if a LAV actually costs something, then it may discourage ppl from calling one in everytime they spawn and $#@@#$ off ppl that are actual HAV and dropship pilots. Currently, they cost nothing and the limit is pretty high, so I don't care. Request away. |

The basic vehicles (LAV, HAV and Dropship) should have Militia versions. But there SHOULDN'T be presets, and they SHOULDN'T be BPOs. Each time you buy one, you buy ONLY one vehicle. When it dies, you buy a new one. |

LAVs should be improved such that their only function isn't to serve as the personal conveyance for people who want to hit a rearward capture point.
The crappiest LAVs are inexpensive. If all you want to do with them is putter around the map, it's a mere 10k ISK or something for the privilege. Personally, I think that's just fine. Having a taxi you can run people over with should not be free. |
