I saw that this weekend and thought I would try it, so whacked it on a LAV for a test (dont have the logi LAV as yet).
Driving and locking is not easy, is it possible to make the box a little bigger? I am sure the vehicle one is a little bigger and its so much easier to use. the only problem I can see with that though is that it may not target the guy you want.
Another solution would be to select press R1 and it auto lock, like in eve. (It may already do that but i couldn't get it to work) and L1 to unlock? One button presses would be easier to action if you have to use it while driving. The alternative would be to pass that onto the passenger.
There is no range details either, so I dont know how far I can be away. Its hard to test as the plethora of Forge guns looking for easy kills, while I am trying to drive and select a target makes it hard.
I haven't got the SP for the logi LAV's yet so I dont know how they work, and so no frame of reference. But if you can work on a one button auto lock for it that would make the driving and viewing so much easier.
Another issue is selecting the repper you want. Is it possible to put the remote repper mods in tabs like the equipment (repper tool)is for the footslogers? That would help with selection when your trying to select a repper for the vehicle and the icons are similar. |

i use this on my tank as its free and i cannot fit anything else there..... i have a hard time with it as well though. sometimes i accidentally activate it and am not sure how to turn it off.. i just start hitting all buttons and eventually it turns off. i have gotten it to work on a few people though, its cool none the less |

to be fair, is it really so much to expect a guy to hold still a second so you can lock him up? i've been on the receiving end and it's pretty ******* awesome.
stuff like this should sorta require coordination, right? |

Yes, but not many want to use voice these days. But even then, the problem is that as the driver you have driving to think about, so looking to your right while waiting to lock is a pain. To me its the problem of having one guy doing so much with limited control options. It would make life a little easier if there wasnt a return to the front. (this may also be why the LAV's driven by me tend to snake down the road rather than move straight). |
