Will there be DUST missions given by Eve players to clear out indigenous creatures from a zone on a planet so they can mine... ala Avatar? I want to go up against a Thanator... and not always fight a human enemy.

I've seen people say that PvE will be in the game but not sure how reliable the source is. Either way I would like to see some PvE implemented. |

Yeah would like to see some group and solo pve content, maybe similar to mission runner contracts from EVE, where you talk to an npc agent. |

It was confirmed at fanfest that there will be PvE missions fighting rogue drones. If you're interested in lore shenanigans, here is a good chronicle involving rogue drones. |

PvE was going to be rouge drones, but having to clear out NPCs from a hostile palnet before they can build there would be awesome. |

I think it would be a great tie-in to EVE so they have to hire us to clear out a hostile zone if they want to mine there. It forces them to interact with DUST. I'm not an EVE player, so I'm not sure how the mining is currently done. But, having another reason for EVE to use DUST is a good thing. |

Only confirmed PvE at present is Rogue Drones - it's going to basically be a survival mode. And not "Rouge" Drones, because that would be silly. |

I don't think you'd have to worry about them for long after that, just shut down the tac-net and the clones deactivate. |

There are no aliens in New Eden except for the slaver hounds that the Amarr Empire uses to hunt down escaped Minmatar slaves and those ugly creepy-crawly little critters that the Minmatar use on their ships to clean the wastes they leave behind.
The Jovian Directorate (the fifth empire of New Eden) may seem alien to some, but they are technically humans who decided to mess around with their DNA to better survive the space environment but then ended up suffering a genetic disorder that causes them to be severely depressed and commit suicide. They are the only empire of New Eden that cannot be accessed by players and are only accessed by CCP employees for testing purposes.
Beyond that, there are Rogue Drones. But even then they are not alien as they are based on human technology gone awry. |

There ARE aliens in EVE. The fact that slaver hounds exist at all is proof that they aren't the only ones; one doesn't go from a single celled bacteria to a large multicellular complex animal without many steps in between. The animal is clearly a predator, so it must feed on other animals... other ALIEN animals.
EVE Online aliens I've found online: http://community.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=may03 http://community.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=jan04 http://community.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=apr03 http://community.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=jun01 http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Achuran_songbird http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Colelian_Spider_Spruce http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Dorga_Roes http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Nidupadian_Yorak_Eggs
A PVE mode could involve securing an area, or finding something of importance on a life-bearing planet, and having to defend yourself from hostile predators that act as obstacles to the mission. Imagine fighting a giant insect-like organism the size of a dinosaur, or a pack of moderately intelligent (like wolves) lizard-like creatures that employ stealth tactics. |

I'm totally down to destroy anything. I say why wouldn't planets get an infestation of some creature that's been killing miners and they have to send Dusters to clear them out and put automated defenses in place. I think that would be awesome! |

Fighting natural wildlife, I guess I could go for that.
I think it would be more interesting to have to fight uprisings of the local populations (some might not appreciate being told what to do by a **** in a spaceship), or defend a planet from an invasion of Sansha True Slaves (think cyber zombies - like the Strogg from Quake 2 & 4, only all originally human).
It probably won't take long for Blood Raiders to become interested in our clone stock, either. Imagine being in the middle of a regular battle when all of a sudden a Blood Raider party lands and starts harvesting mercs from both teams. |

What is this? A safari hunt in Africa?
I'm talking about highly-evolved aliens who are about the same level as humans (ie: those long-head blind creatures from aliens, blue tribal cats, heat-seeking predators, etc.). I'm not talking about some woodland critters or some nasty mass of biological ugliness that the Minmatar use to clean their ships. |
