Extermination:Wipe out wildlife thats a danger to nearby facilities on the planet.Basically another form of rouge drones.When completed the facilities can be a social place or like a home space.It will eventually be infested again.
Colonization-In this mode you capture/colonize a district.You do this by exterminating wildlife,destroying drones,and killing hostile soldiers/NPCs and clearing forests in return for rewards.When you capture it you can also start mining.However overtime the district will become barren/infested again and you will have to start over.
Mining-In this mode you can be hired by a eve player or corporations to mine for resources.Also its a Unique game mode cause its not a automatic battlezone.You only fight against players if its invaded and vice-versa. So if its not under attack it can be a social place.If you are hired to defend it you get paid for gaurding it for a certain amount of timeand keeping out wildlife.You also gain handsome rewards for extracting a certain amount of resources and it also depends on the type of resources.Mining can be anywhere on the planet that the eve player chooses.Or at a district if hired by a corporation.If a mine is invaded the attackers must capture points for a certain amount of time.Theres also a twist.The attackers have unlimited tickets and defenders have limited tickets.(This is because defenders are hired individualy so the amount of defender tickets depends on the number of defenders hired).The defenders win either by holding the points or destroying the attacking ship. |

Barricade Mode: you hold a small mining facility inside a mountain against swarming rouge drones and anything that they might have "converted" from living tissue on that planet to suit their needs including the natural species. you have a 30 sec prep time to get your fortifications in place including steel doors, turrets, stalactites; after that all hell breaks loose. work as a team or die. you have to hold out until re-enforments arrive to rescue you 20-30mins later. where you will run to the outside and be airlifted out. |

No i like the idea's but i think the whole reason for us fighting over the planets for the EVE players is so they can mine the resources of the planets. So making us miners (while profitable if we are able to sell them on the Market to EVE players) would kinda ruin the whole FPS part of the game I think. |

According to the Video where CCP describes the PVE part of Dust, they are going to add what you describe to the game. |

The word "rouge" is French for red, but in its use in English, it was originally used as another name for blush makeup - it's only later that it came to be identified with that particular shade of red. |
