So, this is just an anecdote for you all. I just finished a game where it finished 14vs6. Basically the most dull experience ever after 3 minutes. 3sagaris went about not really working with the team and killed everything. Blew everything up. I got so bored after a few minutes I spent the rest of the game driving in and out of the red squashing the odd person who didn't die instantly. The fact people are ending up stacked on one team is a bit weird. |

Well ive got spawntrapped on the defender side. 3 Tanks spamming rocket launcher turrets stright into the spawn. Refused to spawn and then the nice lady warned me 5 times and talking something dumb that my behaviour not to take part in battle will go to my profile, that im getting replaced by some 1 else etc. Well in the end ive got kicked for not taking part on the killing spree. Could be easy solved if we had a nice big hill infront of the spawn so the tanks cant instant kill us anymore. |

Tbh that kinda thing (spawn out of sight) is a pretty obvious or deliberate oversight on CCP's behalf. Because spawn camping was very viable last build too. But you weren't spawned in 100m of open terrain ever... |

Not going to lie one of my best tank killing moments was getting on a spawn trapped team with 1 min left. :) Scout advanced swarm remote explosives and AV. Ran out around the edge first tank threw all remote explosive and shot 2 swarms dead. :) second sagaris used the rest of swarms and all AV grenades dead then got killed by a soma. :/ respawned killed it and match ended made 400k isk for just 1 min of playing.
But really they need to have that foward spawn on defenders then have a spawn behind those buildings to the NE then a spawn over in the hills to the NW you have the foward spawn to get there quick if you want to risk it but if spawn trapping starts you can spawn way out of line of sight of enemies and get a few vehicles in with out them getting insta popped by guys shooting RDVs |

Blame your Logi players & the quitters. If the sides are that imballanced it means that people bailed.
If you're that spawn camped it means that no one dropped secure uplinks. Even if you're locked down you can try to get further back behind some of the mountian cover to drop an uplink so that you can call in vehicles or drop in without being instapopped. |

Longshot, how did I get 14 players on my team? That's not because people left, it's because of something odd with Dust's team balancing/joining currently. Kinda curious if anyone else has had more than 12 players on their team? |

In one of the three games I got to play today I swear at one point only four of us were spawning in, and my player list stated that we had twelve. Was I furious at my team? You bet. I may have said some pretty harsh things, and I understand being negative is not going to help my teams morale, or mood. However if you are not even trying.. Let me just say I wish I could have flogged, and pistol whipped my team. |

If you open up the menu while you're in the lounge you can watch the teams filling up. They fill evenly unless players start commititng suicide before the game begins to get into a different game. Even then it fills very, very evenly. (typical difference of one player at start if that)
As corp matches get released imbalanced fights are going to become more common. Some corporations may not be able to field a full 2-3 squads at a time to defend their resources. They'll need to find ways to overcome an enemy with greater numbers. |

Face it, this build just sux....beta or not, this build should not ave been kept active for so long....after the first build, I was looking for all round improvements in the current build....but instead, while some non game breaking issues were fixed, many more game breakers emerged as have been described here in this thread....
This build gotta go and soon! Once the PS2 beta hits in a couple of weeks, if ccp has not improved, I'm going to give soe a go.... |

This build has only been around for a month. Infact that is not long at all, and the fact that we are moving to our third build is rather dramatic. It means CCP has been working, and trying to crunch data, and numbers. The fact that you think this build "sux" as you inaccurately put it so just shows you really have no idea what it is to provide a proper means for which to help CCP in creating a proper game, and experience. No [beta] will ever be or should be a represantation of the what will be. Things may dramatically change from here to then. You never know.
As for PlanetSide2 if that happens to be your cup of tea so be it. Coming on here and making threats about leaving and acting like a child is not a way to help the community here, or CCP continue it's work.
As I said the biggest problem to most games? The players themselves. |

In PS you can conquer a base with 14 vs 6. That is allowed because reinforcements can arrive anytime from other parts of the map/continent. Can we have the same in Dust? Well, the system/structure of planet zones celery suggest that we are still pretty much a FPS with big maps but not not a MMO, not a la PS 2 or a la WoW, and that how many players a single map can handle still makes a huge difference. Plus we are 1 vs 1 and not 1 vs 1vs 1 which means that we still keep the usual FPS structure; not to mention that and we have matchmaking in high sec so no sandbox elements for 1/3 of the game. Form my point of view we should have the possibility to do 14 vs 6 fights, ti would be in pure MMO style, but clearly the structure of the game doesn't allow it. |

Iron blood stop defending CCP. There is no reason to. Everything Indra said is right. Blaming players is one thing but some of your posts have been funny, like blame Logi players for being spawn camped. I get why, I just disagree, because ANY player can take uplinks. |

When I read that thread, I took it to mean that he was blaming players in the logistics ROLE, not necessarily that specific Dropsuit type. Uplinks are a part of that role.
And he's defending CCP against complaints that are being taken too far. There's a difference between saying "it's too early to say it sucks when the devs are improving it regularly and we're in a beta not the final release." and "there's nothing wrong with the current build, I'M NOT LISTENING LALALALALA CCP rule the world!" |

I'm the first to agree that there is plenty to do before release and that this current build is not reflective of final product...
But while ccp may be getting tons of data about vehicles, the game has become boring to play and that's the simple point I am making...
Beta or not, its a game...means you play it, play implies having fun and being entertained, which I am not in this build...
The final product will be much better I am sure, but I wont play this game again until I can check out the next build... |

Garret I know what your saying. But here's a brief top of my head list of problems last build that weren't touched for this one or were wrongly nerfed. Remote explosives (still the same, changing next build) Spawn camping/spawning HMG (reverting next build) Militia heavy suit Missile launchers op (still the same)
I know they have worked on reducing lag and getting better hit detection, and this should still be #1 concern probably.
Spawn camping shoul never have been here. Especially not for 3 builds in a row. You understand my concerns maybe? |
