If so, i think it will be counter productive. Whats your take on it?

You are here to test and report bugs and other issues. Not play.
This is not the first time we have been reset before.
Look at this this way. When the game finally releases, even though you and I will start from the very beginning, you will be among the few players who have had the privilege of learning much about the game to the point where you have a very clear picture on what to do exactly based on your experience. |

Bought the mercenary pack to get in the beta, but I'm not giving my toon any of the groovy gear that came with the pack since I fear the reset. I hope to keep that stuff for the real game.
Hope. |

I wrote a page long response to you but forgot that Firefox no longer works on the forum, so I lost my detailed explanation and I am unwilling to write it for you again.
so I will just say that It is unproductive to retrain skills to test out new equipment that you already have the skills to use at the moment.
Developers don't grind their skills to test equipment, they just set the skills the way they need to in-order to test game mechanics. it would be counter productive for them to do it any other way.
Please have game industry knowledge before posting Comments like "You are here to test and report bugs and other issues. Not play." because you seem very uninformed.

I imagine we will get wiped again, as we've been informed that frequent wipes will occur. It's a drag to retrain the same core skills over and over, but I'm willing to pay that price in order to get access to laser rifles, so I hope that makes it into the next build. |

1) How are we to take you seriously when you can't even post in the proper sub-forum. This belongs in General Discussions not Technical Support/Bugs sub-forum.
2) The reason for frequent wipes is that some errors are because of old/bad data in the database and instead of searching for that it it is easier to just wipe the database clean. |

Why I would care to be validated by you? Your argument makes no sense, and your grammar is not up to par.
Frequent wipes, really? we had one wipe, and the whole bit about databases, wow.
You should go back to bed.

DRaven, there's a wipe after every new build. Why? So that they can test the balance from scratch.
Why would it be counter productive? We'll be reset at launch anyway.. |
