just fyi, incase your stupid like me and go for advanced suits, note they are about the same if not weaker than the tech 2 suits.
This isn't a whine or anyhting, it's beta, those tech 2 suits were made easy to get, and that's awesome. BUT, as a warning to any of you that want advanced suits, keep in mind, if you aren't ready for the 2 million sp grind to the top, prototype armor, your better sticking with the tech 2 armor in a lot of cases.
Just so you guys avoid wasting that sp that will get wiped anyways :P put that 1.6 million sp into something useful.
it'll all change and it's all beta anyways but I fgured I would let you guys know : )

eww for 3.5 million sp? no, wait did I write my post that badly?
I was just letting people know the tech 2 suit is better than advanced. since you can't check the fitting stats in this build.
I was aiming for advanced since I thought it would be worth the investment without going to level 5. but right now in this build, it's not you get the same advantage at level 2. same number of slots. on the assuat tech 2 there is a built in complex shield extender. So as lon as you don't mind that 3rd slot being a shield extender, the advanced suit is the same, in fact the tech 2 suit is better at damage when shield tanking.
Hopefully this will help beta testers that aren't going for the full level 5 prototype suit |

I don't know man. That extra mid slot for my Advanced Scout Suit is perfect for an extra damage mod for my Ishrukon sniper rifle. I can one/shot most targets now while I run with the speed of Sonic The Hedgehog. |

Advanced assault > tech 2. Armour tank > shield tank. You do need the armour skills before bothering though. Tech 2 is the stepping stone giving you time for shield upgrades. |

there isn't a tech 2 suit, there are however TYPE 2 suits, which just means it's a different TYPE of suit, though they are generally better than the type 1 suits, and comparable to the advanced suits (mostly) |

this is only even remotely true for the assault. the type-II assault suit is a statistical outlier.
every other type-II suit is a situational tradeoff from the standard.
- heavy trades 300 armor for 220 shields.
- scout trades sidearm for gear and some shields for more armor
- logi trades a gear slot for movement speed
- assault trades 50 armor for 100 shields...
but even amongst the assault suits the advanced is still better than the type-II. it has significantly more PG/CPU, and assuming the standard multi-extender fit, it ends up with only SLIGHTLY less shields and WAY more armor. |

prototypes are not tech 2, they're still tech 1.
Tech 2 assault would be like Invader Armor or Gaurdian Tech 2 heavy would be Sentinel and Juggernaught Tech 2 Scout would be Recon and Infiltrator Tech 2 Logistics would be Triage and Facilitator suits.
Each one of them are about equal to the proto but they are focused in one more goal in mind, for example Guardians would be better defenses and damage resists with specific modules. While Invaders would have better run and damage with only assault rifles. Vs whatever bonus protos are going to get generic weapon and hp bonus in tech thoery. |

This person speaks the truth. The more advanced suits are better for fitting requirements and more modules. Initial stats don't make the suit imo. |
