The last time there where 4 Mauraders in one match it was a nightmare. They destroyed all the CRU's and got one Marauder to camp each spawn of each letter and the back spawn.
It was a massacre, one guy on my team went 1-20 and I saw him running with an AR class. |

That sounds a lot like a match I was in.
Except we saw 5 Marauders, and only killed 3. The other 2 ran away and hid behind cover near their starting spawn. |

Wait, I thought marauders were totally overpowered completely indestructible vehicles of terror unleashed upon us by over zealous EvE developers...
You mean to tell me that these things can be destroyed? And that doing so not only helps your team but is very profitable?

Yup they're just big fat piggy banks just waiting to be smashed open, all you need is a really big hammer.
Also a thanks to the other AV guys that hounded these guys to death I think I can only claim to soloed one of the Sagaris, the Surya took all of us to kill and he made one wrong turn. |

Everyone is 1M SP richer this weekend. A lot of players put that into tanks and another large group put that into AV. So yeah, this weekend it's Tank Mania on Channel Dust! |

Tbh, it takes Tank drivers to make mistakes/bad decisions to lose a proper HAV. PiggyTank or not, they are all but impossible to solo. But I've only got basic AV stuff. |

as one of those AV guys, i must ask. what is better, Proto swarm or proto forge? right now i am using the basic assault forge gun in a type II suit with 2 complex damage mods. and considering dropping another million SP into AV skills |

Proto Foge if you like getting down and dirty and personal also its a better anti-dropship option than the swarm launcher as it nearly impossible to dodge if you shoot right.
Protoswarm is great for bombarding from afar such as on top of those annoying towers people like to camp out on top of Also swarm launcher fits typically are non heavy so they can get nanohives.
Nextly nearly ALL Muraders are soloable its just a matter of good timing and good cover and the target's bad decisions, such as "I'm in a Sagaris my armor repair unit will overcome the next shots damage." Then quickly finding out that there is no way an armor repper can recover 90% of armor hp lost in 2.25 seconds.
Also AV grenades use em they're great for throwing off the tank pilot too if you damage it in the right direction and do serious amounts of damage.
Finally do use your appropriate sized weapon upgrades and try to get the damage SP for either weapon system up high as possible, fewer times you have to pull the trigger the less likely you are to die.
Sagaris I consider weaker of the two tanks, strip is shields off and it only takes one proto froge gun shot to kill them or make them seriously reconsider armor tanking a sagaris in the future. |

Have to confirm that cant tell how many times ive got hit by a forge gun out of the nowhere while in my dropship. When you see a swarm launcher from distance you can clearyly see the rockets coming for you. But a forgegun is allmost impossible to predict thats why its more dangerous. Well the downside to that is you are forced to use a heavy dropsuit. Well the advantage to this you are very hard to kill with misiles. Most of the time the heavy shot me a 2nd time with the forgegun before he dies. |

Yeah on my good days I can swat drop ships in two hits. Its just landing those two hits that isnt my good day thing. |

I dont know who the poor smuk yesterday I hit directly in mid air while bunny hopping yesterday but I feel sorry for you, I honestly meant to hit where you about the land but forge gun inaccuracy caused it to shot a bit too high and to the right,
These modified mining laser pulses are a bit tricky to precisly work with but when you're blasting rocks apart who cares? |

I'm good with them, so I prefer them because I want the added mobility of a Scout. But if you miss with half the missiles every time, then you're probably not going to hit anywhere near as hard as you would with the Forge.
Also, while I'm frequently running pure BPO builds, I've learned a few ways to FORCE mistakes that let the people in proto gear clean up against a good tank. |

Well they all went different directions and didnt stick together was the main problem they had. So I caught each one alone and blew it up to peices. One crew member got a kill on me after I blew the tank and they bailed and my scrambler pistol emptied into thin air... Second death was to the Sagaris that ran over the AV greande I dropped and blew up the last second. |

Dunno... I still feel that the breach ARs are a bit too strong over thier other variants and that using other variants just seems nonsensical the only other variant that comes close is vanilla assault but its only really good on stationary targets.
BTW Stationary Targets never react too well to ANY weapon. The whole reasony why I bagged a few snipers with a forge gun or won a sniping match with a scrambler pistol. |

The whiners take an SMG instead of AV nades. I may only have lvl 1 nades, but they sure make tanks back off. They need to throw a little more consistently though. Sometimes I seem to throw like a girl, other times Brett Farve would be jealous. |

i really wish AV nades went off on impact, vehicles only though so they dont make the other nades pointless, i would see that being much better cause i have spawned (in an Assault suit), thrown them at a moving tank, and the tank just drives away before it goes bang (yes i know to cook it a bit first) |

They pick up your momentum. If you throw while backing up, they drop, if you throw while running forwards, they go halfway across the map. Especially with a Scout, and even more especially when you jump out of a sprint then throw before you land. |

As a marauder pilot, thank you for demonstrating that acting as a team lets you kill stuff.
Once you have smart dropship pilots working with smart infantry on the ground, HAV duty can become hellish, as it should be. |

I'm just a bit peeved you got so much ISK. When I kill that many (or more, it's happened) marauders from within my own, the max I have ever seen is 600k. Good show my good man, but try not to be so loud about it. Us pilots like to keep up the aura of indestructibility; keeps people cowering in fear instead of shooting back! |
