So, here I am, joined late in a game and I'm already positive the defensive is going to lose because all three of the Null Cannons are offline and the Centus is already half way across the map. I probably should have just left, but instead I'm a pretty good sport and decided to help out.
So I come in with my 78,000 isk Logistics fit.. And drop m'self a lovely tank that cost around 165,000 isk... So already I'm spending right about what I'm probably going to make at the end of the match. That's cool, tank usually lasts a while and the suit is awesome.
What's this? Is this a dropship trying to tag me with a missile launcher? Okay, I'll run underneath that pipeline until my tank comes in and promptly annihilate his pathetic-self.
ATTENTION BETA TESTER WE'RE GOING TO BE SHUTTING THE SERVER DOWN AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT SO HERE'S A MESSAGE THAT WILL IMMEDIATELY HALT YOUR POSITION UNTIL YOU ACCEPT YOUR IMMEDIATE FATE - WHICH IS DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT BEYOND RECONCILIATION BY ANY OTHER MEANS THAN GIVING US YOUR MOOOONNNNNEEEEEYYYY!!!!
I then collapse into a burning husk of my former self without even being offered the option to suicide or wee my little panties until I stop bleeding out (presumably because my heart stops beating). My tank drops - conveniently - shortly there after and someone else jumps in my hard earned tank without the slightest clue as to how it's fit or even how to use it. They quickly died in a blazing inferno because, let's face it, the controls are in Traditional Mandarin Chinese or something.
So, yeah, moral of the story - enough with the freaggin pop-ups.. Just give me a little notice on my HUD that doesn't interfere with the game or my wasted ISK..
NOTE: I'd be a hell of a lot more pissed if I spent Aurum on this $H!T.
EDIT: This is also a lot more humorous if you imagine Claptrap from Borderlands reading the caps-locked bit. |

Pay to lose?
Pretty much. Considering I spent Aurum on a full fit (all modules) to try them out, as they had Prototype attributes with Advanced skill requirements, just to get remote explosived into oblivion directly at the spawn point; I stopped using Aurum after that. Way too easy to lose my real-life investment in this game. |

Any ISK/AUR you had invested in the clone you had in that match was forfeit unless the match was able to conclude either way before the server shutdown.
