Kill feed messages don't stay visible for long enough.
Any complaint beyond that is carebear territory. You have directional damage indicators, and you have scanners telling you where everybody is. If that's not enough for you, get more practice. |

All we need is for the kill feed notifications to stay visible for longer. |

This is not a game about getting individual revenge on someone who sniped you. It's a TEAM based tactical shooter. Put the data about who killed who with what in the API for killboards and such, but don't have it in game, it encourages lone-wolfism which this game is not about. You wanna be a lone-wolf? GBTCoD ;D If you know where you were when you died, and have a decent idea where you were shot from, you can pass on the details of that to someone else on your team who's near the area - give them warning of a good sniper or let them know there's a weakened enemy SMG guy in the area. |

We already have that though. Does the person who killed you not get marked on your hud? Just hold off on hitting the respawn button (an alien concept to many CoD players who want to get back in the action asap. I know, I've done it myself) and communicate their location (if it's in your field of view) to your team-mates. That being said I very rarely hear anyone on comms actually saying anything useful, same with CoD and BF3. In these beta battles it doesn't really matter that much but it will when the fate of an alliance hangs on whether you win or lose. I don't get my killer marked on my HUD unless I can already see them, or they walk into line of sight after I went down. And without the kill feed, all I can give is "there's someone at X" or sometimes no more than "I died at X" - having a reliable kill feed (I still think the current one fades too fast) would mean I can consistently pass on "I died at X to someone with Y" and warn my team about HOW I died so a properly-equipped teammate can move in to avenge me. |
