I play FPS games to first person shoot people but I guess others do it to use vehicles but to each his own. With 24 people and the potential of 10 tanks in 1 game there needs to be a change. Your play style doesnt trump anyone elses. Get it or go back to CoD. If a match has 24 people and each person wants to do a tank then so be it. This is EVE/DUST universe, not happy hand holding funtime WoW/CoD crap.
EvE isn't cruel or harsh. Anyone who believes that plays too much EvE. 1.) your asteroids regrow. LoL 2.) when you die, you respawn. LoL 3.) I could join the swarm, and instantly have 9000 goons on my side. LoL 4.) You keep you ISK when you die. LoL 5.) CCP destroyed BoB for everyone in new eden. Not LoL. Not funny. Begging your developer to not allow an alliance to reform is pathetic.
No hand holding? LoL, time you realised there are MUCH more cruel games on the market. With DEVs who won't cancel the biggest and clearly best corp in the game. |

You played counterstrike or d2hc? Those are harsh games. ISK mean nothing to me. Earn a mil lose a mil doesn't matter. Your asteroids will be back on a few days and you can mine more millions. Omg so harsh. Edit: on topic, tanks are tough. But assault teams with AV grenades are better. Exception being the missile turret tanks, which you must use a railgun tank to kill. Rock paper scissors? Kinda... Big rock better than small rock. |

CS you die you lose equipment. There are no skills to artificially improve you unlike in EvE. Can't aim in CS? Doomed. EvE you can do 100 different things. CS you just have to be good. Or get better.
I notice you didn't mention d2hc. Good call.
Edit: Tadec you lose your ship. If you have 10 billion in the bank it's really no problem. Which you will. From mining the respawning asteroids in your freshly respawned clone. The bob stuff is ALL from google/wiki/eve forums. Did you pay goonswarm $10? Lolololol |

My point is you can rebuild, keep your skills and resources are infinate. That is not a cruel harsh universe. (good to hear your not in goonswarm) I've had enough of people telling me what a nasty place new Eden is. It seems quite welcoming on a trial. It's the PLAYERS and the attitude which is harsh. Well, once you get to 0.0 anyway. And I did get popped by some gate campers the first time I went low sec (except basgerin. My favorite system so far, spent quite some time dodging some guy in a Tengu...it looked a bit better than my catalyst heh) And yeah 5/12 in tanks is stupid. 4/12 means they will be fully manned. |

I see many corp battles ending in a black screen if that is the case :) |

I agree milk. And I don't hold it against them except when they ran it down my throat via a beta forum. Someone needs to explain in game to me wtf happened with BoB. I understand the defection, but I don't understand why CCP made the decisions they did. Anyway, let's keep this on topic. Having 1 HAV per 3 players seems sensible. Full tank crews. Depends on the player count though. At 32v32 I'd say 8. Leaves 8 infantry. |

Basically, you pay ISK for your respawn and if you don't pay enough (or often enough) you lose stuff. Like I say, D2HC, you died, game over. GG, new character. Because your last one is dead. EvE ain't that harsh. Tbh if it was, I don't think many people would play (look at HC game modes on any game. Far fewer players) Also doing that in a pay to play game would be somewhere between crazy and insane. |

The maximum carry capacity should not exceed the player limit. I.e 1 HAV/LAV every 3 players, and 1 Dropship every 6. Why would you send vehicles out if you don't have the clones to use them effectively? |
