There are some terrible attitudes and grammar in this thread.
Anyway, not sure how CCP is going to approach this, but in public games, I believe vehicles should be limited by this war point thing, so as to each team can't spam too much.
At the moment the vehicle cap is high as to weed out as much bugs as possible for testing (although I think we've found enough to warrant a new build, not sure if it's CCP's or Sony's fault for such slow pacing on patches)
For corp matches, the limitation should be the limits of one's wallets. The team who is willing to put more on the line, should be allowed so. |

I'm sorry.
That last game we played. We brought out 5 tanks just to mess with you.
Blame Nugent
I lost 5 tanks that round
1 from being ran over by a friendly Surya 3 from bugs 1 from driving into the red zone edge and not noticing the timer :(
Anyway, saying EVE is harsh kind of works both ways. It's harsh if you don't know your way around. It's harsh if you don't know how to work the system.
Dying in EVE has much steeper consequences than any other game you've played before, the scaling is much steeper, while at the same time, having the very real risk of someone betraying you and friendly firing your ass.
Earning money for goodies in EVE is like earning 1000 isk per round in DUST. Now 1000 isk can go a long way in buying cheap stuff, but if you want to get to the big shiny things, it costs worlds more. And then theres the spying and world of intelligence gathering and espionage metagame, but that could take hours to explain.
The closest game I've played with this, the more you have, the more you have to lose mentality would be DayZ By the way, everyone should totally play DayZ, it's awesome |

Depends on the players. Atleast you are venturing outside of highsec unlike all the highsec trash forum whiners.
In today's society, selfishness, pride and greed are hammered into our heads since we were little kids. Only when we become adults do we realise it's what benefits us the best. (Dare I say this is the key point of capitalist societies?)
The game is about scarcity, because of scarcity, people who hold the cards, call the shots. Look at the corporate world. The leaders of all the major resource corporations are cutthroat businessmen who look out for their business interests. They don't care that there's poverty in Africa, or homelessness in the streets, they want to profit for themselves, their company and their family.
Just like in any other game, or even reality for that matter, we always strive to prove ourselves, to be better than the next person. If that means kicking them down to bring yourself up or get what you want, so be it.
This game just lets you do that, unlike most who give everyone a fair go and show a giant no no for anything that's not remotely rainbows and happy times.
We play games for escapism, some of us just prefer more of the harsh reality that we can play in, before we do the same in real reality, than a completely different world that lulls our senses.
Anyway, this is getting off topic |
