Sorry if this has been posted already.Sorry if this has been posted already. Read Ina thread somewhere.... Lead to me wanting this in game:
Basically, you can take gear. You'd grab it and it would go into your inventory (not on your man.) and you could swap gear around with your fellow corp mates, sell it, or save it for a later time. It would add another level to the game. Things wouldn't just "disappear" That said, anyone could loot this body. And said body would only remain for so many minutes.. So if you chose to be nice and not loot... The dead player could go back and grab his stuff. Or a team mate could take it. Of course, this grabbing of things would have to take some time. You'd be shuffling around In someone's suit for gods sake. Thoughts? Amendments? Alternate ideas?
Terrible idea? Maybe!
Below are Amendments, Further Ideas, And other systems that could perhaps work in this way. Im aware of the "salvage" concept, but I feel this might be a more interesting element, instead of an Insta Get button.
AMENDMENT ONE: Method of returning item to ship: Gear that could be thrown down as an uplink to a ship. Acts much like a respawn point. Limited time, can be destroyed.
IDEA ONE: Idea that is similar to current system:
SGS Nightmare wrote:How about a salvage ship? Like a drop ship but has salvagers on board, maybe at the end of the match, the team that has won will get to savage either the dead bodies or maybe the structures or vehicles that were destroyed during the match?
Further Detailing (Ideas.) -You would need to spec into it to improve your ability to send items into space Level 1- Small Items, No guns, Shortened Spawn time Level 2- Light Guns Level 3- Medium Level 4- Heavy Level (? top level) - SOME Dropsuits (? Maybe), Spawn time dependent on how much stuff your are sending. Your specing up the power of the uplink you are able to put down. - When you are carrying the gear your movement speed should be slowed with relation to what your carrying.... I dunno. :s this seems like a very large game mechanic to do realistically. |

Perhaps the time spent is putting down a port type thing to send the item up to the ship? It could be something logistics carry and put down at a high cost? Idk.
I'm glad this didn't get flamed to death! Yaya! |

I'm glad this didn't get flamed to death! Yaya! like a reverse drop uplink... Pretty much. Or does it sound dumb? D: |

It is likely salvage will already be included in some way. Just considering looting in game as an alternative. At least that is my impression. Correct impression is correct. :/ I think a plain old Salvage is boring. Actually having to remember to pick stuff up is more interesting. |

Aware of this. :/ I find it boring. It takes away one possible thinking/sandbox element. |
