Does anyone of you use them.....I never see them in-game and haven't been killed by one in ages (weeks...lol). I, personally, only used the basic version that comes with the default Heavy Dropsuit on one occassion and that was the first day playing the Beta. It felt worthless and I never went back to it.
So, my question is for the killers who DO use them:
1. What pistol types are you using and with what upgrades?
2. Do you find them effective?
I almost used one as a backup weapon on one of my Heavy fits, but the CPU/PG requirements were more than the SMGs, which is what i ended up using.... |

What level Heavy suit are you using--standard, advanced, proto?
And what level pistol/ machinegun?

I use the level 2 and proto type heavy suit with the pro type hmg most of the time I do use the proto type heavy suit but not with pistol The pistol I use is a their 2 with some upgrades I'm not sure, but it is a beast at close range.
Thanks for the reply.....maybe i gave up on the pistols too quickly. I will have to give them another look, since they are apparently such killing machines.
Based on some of the other responses to this thread, it looks like they kill in 3-4 shots and disable shields instantly.....i just gotta see this to believe ;-)) |

I personally stick to SMGs because I'm better with them. It's the same reason I use ARs more often than Snipers in most games.
Garrett, with this analogy. are you saying that the pistols have better range than SMGs? that would be a good thing. It is the only reason why I don't use the SMGs as primary weapons--the lack of range.
If the pistols really are the more effective killer at range, then I really have to reconsider them as my secondary.....that is if i can fit them in with the necessary PG/CPU requirements. |
