Shield Transfer modules.
Not saying that area shields are not going to be in Dust, but Eve doesn't have them either (unless you count Starbase forcefields, and CCP wants to get rid of those). |

what about the more players you have the better connection transfers and a much stronger shield is created. |

God I hope they do get rid of those... hate the Starbase shields, always have.
Wanted to be able to Dock or Moor up to Starbases since anchoured my first one :'(
I don't believe a "Bubble Shield" is a good idea, but I think a Local and Remote Shield Repper would be an awesome touch.
This said I hope to hell (as I liked the idea of being a Logistics guy for a Squad) that they release a Repair Tool that isn't AUR only |

I was thinking of something like this as an alt fire for the Forge Gun's unused L1 button. Have it eat an ammo or two and produce a shield that's a bit bigger than the user, can't be fired through from either side, and lasts for about 5 seconds. Mobile, but only at the same speed as a charging FG (quite slow).
You could easily circle strafe it at close range, but it would provide a bit of cover at a distance at the cost of the FG's already limited ammo. |
