Can you make it so I can lock my driver seat on my heavy tanks, I'm sick of jumping out to hack stuff and some random noob steals my tank & gets it dead real quick.... Please. |

Also, try a headset so you can tell your gunner to hack the objective and/or yell at the douche who took your tank. |

Firstly there are plenty of other threads talking about this. SEARCH before you post !
Secondly 'Small Request' as a title does nothing to help get your post read or opinions left to give developers an idea how popular this idea is.
Thirdly there is an entire section of tthese forums dedicated to 'Feedback and Requests' I suggest the title of your thread would imply it be better suited there and not in 'General Discussion'
That said, I agree partially with you, however as I've said in the other threads, I think locking the drivers for 10 seconds after the vehicle drops is sufficient, if you get out after that it's your own fault, that's what your passengers are for, hacking objectives while you provide cover. |

Get "the Club"
or
Lo-Jack
Better yet, add a function where you can lock ur doors when you hop out. But this HAS to have the double "chirp" sound when locking. (just like a car) |

I am no driver, but yet, I hear this theme more and more. It is totally rational and ties-in perfectly with the coherent EVE universe.
Let there be some sort of possession key-lock for the individual owners of Tanks and Dropships.
.........And all will be well. |

Yes, it does tie in very well, which is why it should remain as it is.
As a capsuleer, if you leave anything... and I do mean ANYTHING floating without a pilot, I will take it. That is, if I can fly it. Skill req's for vehicles would be the only change I'd make. Other than that, if you get out of the driver's seat, it's fair game-- just like off-world. |

It amuses me that if I call in a milita vehicle just to get used to the controls when the other team is cowering at their spawn at how quickly it will get stolen if I'm not waiting in exactly the right spot for it.
I've not added any SP points to any vehicles so all I can call in is the freebies and they still get stolen. |

It would be SO funny if you could cap objectives from your tank. This would look similar to when you are at a drive thru at a fast food place. Not a suggestion because too OP. Fun thought though. |

I think the difference is that we Dusters spawn in-game without our vehicles, which we then have to call in to access. When they (our hard-earned vehicles) arrive on the battlefield it becomes a free-for-all to see who claims it first.
I believe, although I am not completely certain of this, that this is NOT the case in EVE. You EVE players don't spawn and then have to fight over who gets into your ship first.

I do this with dropships. The pilot takes the dropship and places it on the building to camp or snipe on it. It's a waste of a good dropship so I take it and support my team that way. HAVs and LAVs I keep a distance from, in terms of driving. I can do the gunner seat perfectly fine. |

I was a gunner in an Eryx that was going Surya hunting (we killed 3). We had the pilot, both gunners and a passenger on mic. Here's what I heard.
Passenger: "Hey, guys... Looks like there's someone shooting from the tower" Gunner: "Don't worry, it's a friendly, he won't hurt us" Me: "Why's he parked up like that? Doesn't he have a Pilot?" Pilot: "Are you volunteering?" Me: "Me? I can't fly!" Passenger: *in a decent impression of the drunk guy in Independence Day* "Ah kin fly... I'm Pilot!"
Turned out, he was right. He could fly pretty well. I wonder how mad his gunner was though... |

One of the many hazards of playing with randoms. The current system shouldn't change though - if you get blown up someone should be able to use your tank, and it seems a bit silly to have to lock up for vehicles on the battlefield!
When FF is added you can blow the guy up for stealing your tank! XD
Just make sure to join a decent corp and you wont have issues like this... which corp you ask?
