Going off what I know about the new War Dec system mixed with the fact that DUST Mercs and Capsuleers can join within the same corporation, what kind or affect will this have on the price of a War Dec.
To my knowledge War Dec prices are determined by the amount of members within the Corp you want to Dec. So by this fact, a Corp could inflate its member count with Dust Mercs just to become more expensive to Dec and therefore causing it to become harder to be Dec as well.
Looks to me like this could lead to an exploit.
Your thoughts?

Quote:ThatGÇÖs because EVE and DUST share the same player-run corporations. That is to say, EVE Online players can join DUST 514 corps. Likewise, DUST 514 players can join EVE Online corporations.

I do understand. What Im looking at is if you wanted to dec a corp with 25 Capsuleers for lets say a ransom but then they had 200 Dust Mercs to the count (Making it a member count of 225), your looking at like 500mill just to War Dec 25 ships |

This also brings up something new, we Dusters will be 2nd class to EVE Capsuleers if we are used to manipulate things like this.
Eve will have a QQ fit and we will count as 1/2 a Capsuleer or less.

"Trial accounts are not counted when counting corp membership."
"WeGÇÖve also implemented a good suggestion from Fanfest, which is that if you leave your corporation while it is engaged in a non-mutual war, then you will not be able to rejoin the corporation until that war ends, or until 7 days pass, whichever comes first."

"There is now a cap on how much the number of members in the defender corp/alliance can affect the war declaration cost. The cap is 500 million. Note that this is not a cap on total cost of war GÇô the multiplier for the number of wars you have declared still applies."
Thank you Counter logic for posting some facts on the math of the War Dec System. Though my numbers may have been wrong, the fact still stands that Dust members may influence the Member count of a Corp. All this has done is prove my point that numbers still affect cost.

Okay, IGÇÖll except the fact EVE Capsuleers just donGÇÖt care. Just keep in mind that it was a DUST Merc that tried to fix a coming EVE problem. |
