Currently weapons do not have customization on parts, your suit is however the one you should be focusing on, currently the developers are just happy with providing you with a large number of guns instead of customization. Maybe in the future theyll add guns that you can build to be customized with scope, accelerator/delivery system, ammo, and fire selectors. |

We are more than willing to teach some tricks of the trade, but some things need to be nipped in the bud. This game is serious, will large implications and high-risk dealings. There are no cheap tactics, griefing, or unfair kills. There is only the contract and the money that comes with it. This guy is a serious gamer. Nah.. He's butt hurt that he was capsuled day one on EVE. Seriously though most players in EVE are not arseholes, and are not trying to ruin the game for everyone around them. It's always just a few basment dwellers whom have the need to flex the old ego and e-peen.
Ahem the term is 'podded.' |

Well heres the other thing, how much more complexity does the game need? The skill system and suit/fitting system is already deep despite only have a quater of the known upcomming equipment (electronic and improved logistics warfares are inbound prepare for a whole new layer of gameplay) do we really need to overwhelm new players that have no idea when they join?
If they ever make the system here is what they can do.
Scopes, offer a variety of scopes that have different dots and aim recitles or ranges, these offer no 'bonuses' to the gun and are dirt cheap. Dot/Ironsight scopes lvl 1, Range Scopes lvl 3, Remote camera drone lvl 5 of gun customization.
Magazine/ammo - Different magazines offer different kinds of ammo. This alters the weapons damage performance against shields or armor, or effects its damage to range profile, heavier damage ammos are always shorter range. More advanced ammos can have 'quirky' attributes for thier benifits such as super heavy ammo that slows you down but packs heck of a punch over traditional ammo. Price varies by performance.
Basic Ammo Unlockts at lvl 2 - Advanced ammos at lvl 5 and weapon's proficency lvl 2.
Accelerator System - These systems adjust firing speeds, noise or visual profiles (but not both), those that effect firing speeds effect gun weight thus faster firing systems are going to recoil more. Those that effect noise level also assists in firing speed or hinders a silencer would force the lowest firing speed possible. This helps in hiding on tacnet. The opposite of this would make the noise profile would lite you up on the tac net but youll be able to fire much faster. Then visual profile adjusts the bullet travel graphics, such as tracers (useful for blasters) or something cosmetic (pink/rainbow lasers...) these cosmetic ones are considered non bonus thus non penalty as well. However the one that removes the animation severly reduces refiring time and costs significanly more.
Unlocks at lvl 3. |
