I have played in the tanks and like the Main gun and the nose gun, but i have a serious problem with the turret gun. My problem is you are restricted to only firing to the right of where the main gun is firing and if you are lining up a shot and the main gun turns you could lose your shot. I guess the question is why is it built this way, I see no obstruction to the gun keeping it from moving. I am guessing it is working as intended, but why does it have this restriction. If anyone could answer me this or post a link to where they answer it I would be grateful. I am blind if you can find it because i could not. |

Its a recent change, and one that needs to be reworked. I'm ok with the top support turret being restricted to its movement, but being restricted to the right side of the main turret is clunky and awkward. Something more along the lines of independent movement from the main turret and 270 degrees of motion feels more reasonable. |

I appreciate you telling me it was some thing they changed but it is like if i give a guy with a Heavy gun a restriction that he can only turn right, be cause they are too powerful and need to have a huge handy cap. Right now tanks are tough, but I take them out with my Swarmers just fine. I find a spot to hide and fire up and over the walls at them. The gun is there to protect the tank and with no graphical restriction to the gun just tells me it was either a glitch or an unnecessary nurf. |

Honestly I would not mind if it had a 270 degree arc that was primarily rearward facing so as to divide the firepower a bit. Also it makes sense from gunners point of view. |

See now i could live with that but restricting it to right right side and where the turret is facing is kinda lame |

Not sure I really understood most of what you were trying to say, but yes the top support turret is meant to protect the tank. In the last build the top turret could rotate 360 degrees but some felt this was overpowered, so they changed it so the movement was more restricted. However, limiting it to just one side was a bit odd, so I think they need to reconsider the change and perhaps go with something else instead of the current restrictions.
Also keep in mind most of the tanks out on the field are militia, and will die in 2 swarm salvos, they're far from an accurate representation of "real" tanks. |

I think they were trying to limit the movement of the turret but it went wrong somehow. Whilst I feel a full 360 range is actually realistic these tanks kinda need some limitations on them. Now I don't feel tanks are OP at all but they still need to have a weak point of some kind both defensively and offensively. They could also have it face forward to give the tank a blind spot that is not so easy to counter as the main gun has to be taken off its target to deal with anyone attacking from behind. Which it has to now anyway. At the very least it should be independent of the main guns movement until its limitations are reached. |

I feel like a good way to go would be to make it able to fire in an arc of 330 degrees with the 30 degree cutout centered on the main gun boresight.
This way the turret can fire almost everywhere EXCEPT where the main gun is shooting.
Problem solved. |

That does depend on what kind of missile you fire at a real tank. Javelins are fun. |
