Is it intended that the merc pack cannot be bought by non-US and non-EU PSN accounts, due to the beta restrctions?
Believe it or not, there are English speaking countries and residents in Asia. By restricting the beta (and thus merc pack) to PSN accounts tied to specific countries, a significant portion of PS3 users have been denied access to the beta weekend rewards, such as the "skinweave" logi suit.
If we have to create a dummy PSN account just to purchase the merc pack, what happens when the game goes live? We have to continue using said dummy account since the merc pack is tied to that?
Not very well-thought out from a customer-focus perspective, is it? |

One question: If all you want is the skinweave logi suit, have you tried to get a beta key from ign, then enter it using your asian account? This way you would have saved some money.
On the other hand i read in the Eve forums that once you got into the beta (using limited keys from PS Home or IGN or wherever you got them) you should be able to buy the merc pack via ingame store.

Yeah, I did register with IGN, but it seems their promo is only for accounts from those specific countries (as specified by CCP), and they even state that they (IGN) check via IP address, so no go there. Where it's supposed to show my beta trial key, is just a blank white box. I even sent IGN a support email, no reply yet.
Now I did get into the beta ending July 2nd, (hence my access to these forums) but had to create a dummy PSN acct with a US address to play it. I can buy the merc pack from that acct, but I can't from my actual, proper-address PSN account.
Needless to say, I cannot access the beta this weekend at all, from any account, without the merc pack. |

they will have to have servers in your country to use the beta i think. thats why its also a good idea to play on a server in the country you are in. when the full game comes out, then yes try playing on servers in other countries. |
