Preferably an Ambush type map. No offense to tank gunners and dropship pilots, I'd just like to have one map that is mostly infantry.

I think a completely indoor map would be a good idea. |

It's not a matter of how hard they are to kill, I'd just like one map that is free of them. Every map doesn't have to have 50 dropships or tanks in it. An urban environment that has narrow streets or an indoor facility that contains the objectives in no way violates what Dust stands for. If anything it provides much needed variety.
There are several planet types currently in Eve. How good do you think a tank is going to be on a water world or gas giant? How effective would a dropship be in an underground mining facility on a storm planet or lava world? Battles are going to get pretty stale if the standard operating procedure is to just spam vehicles for every fight, regardless of where you are or what the objectives are.
The difficulty of fighting vehicles is irrelevant to this discussion. I have no problem spamming REs on tanks or ramming enemy dropships but I do get bored doing it. Maybe some people need to learn to fight without vehicles. |

That would make guy's that train for vehicles and anti vehicle guys kind of useless, there shouldn't be maps that completely lock out what people chose the specialize in. |

I can imagine a map type where one team uses dropships and APCs to fight their way to a facility. Then they'd dismount/hotdrop above said facility and enter to fight over the objectives. There would still be opportunities vehicular combat but the main objective and conflict would be inside. It might require a separate "win" mechanic other than the MCC just docking with the facility but I think it can be done. |

Some builds are going to be more useful regardless. Those who specialized in shotguns, SMGs or knives are arguably less effective in the current map due to the long distance engagements. However, when they play Communication in Ambush mode those builds are perfect. Granted, they're not locked out completely. I just don't want to see Dust turn into World of Tanks and Dropships, |

You do realize the x4 is only effective for SP right? We're getting normal ISK right now.
The price of items will be increasing in the next build, but so will the amount of ISK gained. This is to bring up the inflation of ISK to EVE levels since at the moment, ISK is worth a lot more in Dust than it is in EVE. |

Biomass was a great map, tanks couldn't really do much unless infantry chose to engage them. I wish they'd bring it back. |

Would be cool to have a large urban map with tall buildings and mostly narrow streets where LAVs have a chance to really shine. Plus the availability of indoor fighting would be nice, not big on it been exclusively so (not that I would mind such a map by its own merits), but that sort of urban map has always been a favorite of mine in FPSs with the sniping and the grenades and the sneaking up and stabbing from behind and shotguns actually being useful and deadly.
Frankly it'd be weird not to see such a map, given the strategic importance of cities and in relation to securing territory. So I'd wager something is in the works already, but it would be refreshing to see one included in the beta sometime soon; especially since such maps tend to be more complicated and will likely require more refinement. |

Really simple to satisfy both Tanks/Dropships and Infantry. Make a base with an underground level. Have one or two capture points on the surface and a one or two in the facility underground. If there are tanks and Dropships spamming the top stay in the facility and keep the other points safe. Maybe make it so one of the outside points control gates. Who ever has that point the gates open for. Have narrow places that a tank will simply not fit so LAV's can run thought it. Maybe a Destroyed wall or two just big enough for an LAV to squeeze though. Dropships will work as intended as air support and a way to get to the gates easier. |

Yes their should, it would make the value of having a diverse corporation that much more important. Have a contract for a map like Plateaus? Then get all your vehicle spec people together for that contract. However, if you have a contract for a manufacturing facility, or something underground, no military commander is going to even consider calling in the guy that is spec'd out for a tank or drop ship, their going to use their close quarters mercs.
There is no reason to cater to ever player on every map. There should be maps where some players shine, and some simple are not valuable. |

I agree with the more diverse maps being included to help those that specialize in certain styles being able to use them as such. I'm getting tired of constantly chasing after the vehichles to blow up etc (i've become addicted to it apparently lol) Having more infantry/smaller LAV assualt types maps and much larger "large" battle maps for full on conflicts is a must. And i also would like that previous map to make a return or one like it. |
