Try shooting them. With AR, sniper, forge gun. What ever you want. It's freaking difficult man. So basically your fear of getting shot out during dropping sounds silly to me. EDIT: It's also important to keep in mind, that other games have done this very successfully i wouldn't know where they were going to land? that's shoe on head stupid. why would ccp let players drop in at any point on the map? also why wouldn't ccp bring in AA turrets for this specific feature? well you know how it'll work, those turrets will keep people dropping in on one specific location that's clear of gunfire and then it gets easy to spawn camp them. |

Look, it doesn't have to be like that. CCP is still working on revamping the spawn system so who knows. What ever argument you come up with against this idea is ridiculous because this spawn system hasn't even been implemented in Dust. Every hole you poke into this idea has a solution. You just have to think.
Go on youtube. Watch the starhawk and section 8 spawn system. It works. In my opinion its better than the out-of-thin-air spawn system. And if you still don't like it, you can always spawn at a CRU or drop uplink.
p.s. If anyone willingly drops into an area being dominated by a hypothetical AA, you deserve to be "spawn camped" (the solution to this would be to spawn elsewhere, genius)..... |

i agree, enlarge spawn area with random spawn location against camping. and add an animation that explains how we get there.
When spawning on CRU, i get you just come out of nowhere as the clone comes out of the structure. but on objectives ? how exactly do clones get there ? Makes no sense. especially in a universe where everything has an explanation. |

You could alwyas do what Starhawk and other games have done. Using objectives to help increase spawn location. A form of this was done in MAG too. I'm sure though (hopefully) that CCP is aware of the problem and has something in store with the next update/build in August. I just wish it would be august already. |

No, I think that when I, the person spawning, spawn, I should spawn the same way it does now, but to all the other players, it shows me dropping in a pod. I don't want to see the pod, because it takes away from the FPS action feel and stuff, and just feels weird when I know I have to drop in and run to an objective. When I press the button to spawn, counting down from 10 to 1 should show me in a dropship going down. |
