I've killed Heavies with a single RE. Sadly all 5 REs couldn't kill Noc Tempre's Sagaris

I'll admit I've become pretty lazy when it comes to fighting heavies. It's much easier/faster for me to just drop an RE and kill the heavy than it is to waste a clip in his head. They probably should make these things have a longer delay between setting/throwing them and detonating them . But in return I want them to stick to vehicles. |

sticking to vehicles does make sense since most Satchel Charges in today's military do have stick properties (adhesives, magnetics, etc.) |

When these things get implemented then we can discuss what is op because we can see how they truly effect the game.
Yeah,
There is a lot of this issue that is still hard to address. A lot off the deaths happen because the victim isn't paying attention. But, if you make RE more visible, then the same should be done for grenades.
My reaction when I die from RE isn't "THIS IS SO OP RAGE!!!111"
It is "WAS I REALLY STUPID ENOUGH TO RUN RIGHT INTO IT RAGE!!!!111"

I like this idea. This would prevent the RE spam on close range infantry battles. I also like the idea of it sticking to vehicles. |

Firefly Team here,
At the moment, yes they do. As a Player that uses nothing but Remotes (They are my main weapon), they are instant kill at the moment. I'm sure this will be patched at some point, but what they honestly need to patch first are some of these tanks. Yes, the Threat of being remoted is terrible (Especially if you come across me), but there are worse things.
Now, let me give you a quick tutorial on surviving explosives:
*In case you're wondering, a Firefly is a build that my brother and I made that uses Remote Explosives as the basis of it's skill tree. Usually fast and always carries explosives*
1) I suggest having some stamina. The main part of the issue is that jumping can get you out of the way, but most people aren't fast enough. 2) You need to move. If you see me, or any other Firefly drop an explosive, run. Don't fight. Unless you want to explode. 3) No not let one jump on your tank. Fireflies have tend to make tanks explode when they land on them, so it's best not to let us on them. 4) Distance. Keep it.
Now that you have a basic tutorial, know that people running remotes have it hard. Even those who are not running it main, run into the issue of speed deploying them and the fact that about 1/20 don't kill when they explode and about 1/7 don't go off on time. Just remember that.
I hope this helps a bit in the survival Aspect.
See you in the fields.

Partially right. The range is a bit long actually, 2.5 sometimes 3. It doesn't always kill the owner. It glitches sometimes. Assault can work against a Firefly, but you have to be faster than us and most run at 9 m/s. And Remotes CAN be stuck to a vehicle. You just have to practice.
Seran Jinkar wrote:1. RE can't be thrown like a grenade. They are dropped 50cm in front of you and slide a bit farther.
2. RE kill the owners too.
3. You can't plant them while sprinting.
4. The AOE is about 2m in radius ( my guess ) and is blocked by even very low cover.
5. REs are the Scissors to all Heavy Paper in infantry CQC. Esspecially for Logistics and Scout suits. But a clever Assault might prove a Stone to it quite fast by keeping a half distance.
6. RE are not an anti-vehicle weapon. They are an anti-stupid-driver weapon. They only work against blind or sitting tanks or REALLY stupid dropship pilots (Seran 1 : Dropship 0) that try to squish you. If a vehicle keeps moving it just works as a trap as REs are no sticky bombs.

This is another thing, most of these RE flingers are throwing them behind cover, and fact is it is hard to see it when it's in there hands and especially on the ground to the color texturing of the game, it's just another rando Thing that people are using to get kills and honestly it's annoying; but I understand it though. But yeah they should be dropped like nano hive and you can't throw the **** |

Instead of nerfing the damage, perhaps they shouldn't be able to throw them like a frigging grenade. That's what grenades are for. They should drop like nano hives. Right in front of you. Trust me, I know who the RE tossers are and I make sure I give them lots of room. I always try to keep an eye on the kill list to see who is using RE's.[/quote]
^THIS I run heavy dropsuit and I watch for players who try to lure you around corners. Right now I am LVL II heavy suite and have LVL 5 shield extend and repair and have over 1000+ HP and I still get dropped. I totally agree that they should be dropped right in front of you and not use as sliding explosives. |

NO, they need more dedication for the power they have.
no nerf. no timer, no stop where you are to plant
just more SP required to use them in their current state. and lower lvl ones. |

SP requirements will just delay the RE spam by a few days at most. These things need changing by adding an arming timer to prevent them being used as a huge bag of granades or we need a counter such as a RE jammer device |

Actually, its looking like resistance modifiers are going to be only for vehicles, and a flat percentage across all damage types. I mean, if you could equip both extenders and resistances to your dropsuit, you'd have even -more- complaints of OP gear. |
