So Im driving along with my Sargis lose half my shield to a volley of protos and of course I run. Im out of range of my enemies and no swarms are after me and I had my shield booster at work recharging my shield. Out of the blue a Militia Sica at full health on my team comes plowing into my side and what happens my shield immediately drop and my armor goes to nill (burning but functional). I hop out to save myself and see he lost half his shield. Is this a tank tactic; weak to the side strong in the front. Awsome if it is because thats a nice realistic dynamic but please make it clear if this was intended and a reliable mechanic. If its not intended then a Free Tank on my team just destroyed a 250 k plus tank and thats terrible wrong.Marauders should have tougher armor and should roll through a Militia HAV like Aluminum Foil and if this is intentionally not the case marauders are becoming more and more less worth it. Not to mention when I tired to do the same in a Militia HAV for revenge no damage was dealt to either party; same happened when i crashed a dropship into him. Either the physics is bugged or CCP need to be clear on how we are testing friendly fire. |

The phisics are still pretty bugged. tanks still die for lamp posts and chest high walls. |

I think the most damage to my shields a Sica has landed per-shot is around 8-9%.
The Sagaris is not an armor tanker. If you see your shields drop, run. As soon as you're in armor, start counting your prayers, because the sweet release will follow shortly. It's designed to not have strong armor, but it makes up for it with exceptionally strong shields.
The Surya, conversely, is great at armor tanking, but your shields will probably be gone in one good shot.
EDIT; I also two-shot Militia tanks. Great fun when they spam them. |
