I have seen quite a bit of disrespect on the forums(Name calling, being rude, ignorant, and just a general disregard for anything resembling following the forum rules stated by the moderators.). I understand there are going to be some comment's people make that are going to hurt people's feelings, but some statements are downright offensive and need to be looked at more seriously. The whole -tard thing, needs to stop, it's downright ignorant and shows the intelligence level of the poster. That is just one example of a whole slew of things I have read on these forums. Let's start enforcing the rules that you laid down.
(I am sure there are going to be troll's hitting this post too, but I digress back to my statement about their ignorance...) |

While I do think it would be nice if there were less trollish threads around, you need to grow thicker skin. This is the internet, not everything is going to be sunshine and lollipops. You can't let these things get to you. |

It appears that you all have missed the point of the post. It's not a matter of growing a thicker skin. Frankly what people say about me on the internet has no bearing on how I feel about myself. I am just sick of seeing the crap that children like to post because they want to get a cheap laugh. Your right, the internet is not sunshine and lollipops, but when rules are laid down about the way to post and acceptable behavior, then there needs to be some control. I have played Eve, even browsed the forums, and the posts that are being made are not by Eve players, who for the most part have a modicum of respect and self control. They are being made by people who have no couth and get a cheap thrill out of making ignorant statements.
