Not sure if they have been brought up, but for taking objectives I think it would be nice to be able to pop a few off for sniper cover, I mean the uses are varied as well, it is more a tactical thing and not a blow people up thing, but I think it would add a lot of flavor. |

Vehicles should also have the ability to deploy smoke.
So a tank could pop off smoke grenades in multiple directions and dropships could drop a smoke curtain by flying over. |

Not sure if this has been addressed but for a battlefield this is a must in my humble opinion. Please CCP consider this addition... Smoke for covering an objective...smoke for covering a spawn...smoke for throwing off swarmer detection...smoke for covering a medic as he nano injects a guy in a battle field...smoke to cover up tank mines as vehicles coming barreling through...smoke to hinder the view of a tank in tight quarters in the battlefield. |

Yeah, it is a very interesting idea and I do not see why they would not implement it.

the only reason you can spot thru a wall is because a team member has seen him...so its added to your HUD as a hostile contact
smoke would work to prevent the person from being seen in the first place
if you pop smoke while in the objective then you are doing it wrong
you pop smoke wait a cpl secs then run into the objective (so the smoke has enough time to billow) |

Smoke would make it hard to aim at a suit or vehicle even if the radar icon was still displayed. Good idea chaff grenades could remove the radar icon but leave vision intact, advanced versions could combine both types into one grenade. On other had maybe smoke should just remove the radar icon too, it is the far future. |

Not a bad idea really, although I'd prefer them as grenades instead of gernades

humm smoke grenades doesn't sound bad, i only fear, that the smoke grenade will make hacking and rehacking an impossible to fail task. |

I throw my support... and not just for regular vision-obscuring smoke.
Colored smoke : good for marking areas for various reasons. Not terribly useful on 24-player maps, but 100+ battlefields will see the benefit. If anything, any dropship pilot would be happy to have smoke to mark a clear LZ. Infiltrators can also use this trick for "false security" kills.
Nanobot smoke : "Smoke" that releases nanobots, either for wide-area, low-speed repair or as a particularly nasty area-denial weapon. This smoke would be white, but lit up with small "lightning" bolts representing the 'bots. repair smoke would cover a very large area, and rep teammates for about 1/2-1/4 of a nanohive. Killer smoke would act like poison gas, draining your health while you stay inside it. |

Remember friends...this would be a slot in the dropsuit. Not many players would use this...because it does not help your KDR. Smoke nades help objective games...this is what we are trying to encourage players to do...so lets get the tools to do this. Not many players would give up their grenades or their remote explosives to help capture an objective. They literally would give you no points. But I am about winning and communicating to get there. CCP this is good stuff. |

People have been discussing the whole "Smoke Grenade" thing on here for a long time. I hope they do implement it, I'll get a lot more kills. Just like any other shooter with them. It just takes a small bit of intuition, and BAM! Free kills all day long. You pop smoke. Someone throws det packs in with you, or some other explosive. They know when you go in it. Haha! Not exactly as sneaky as you think it is. Idk how many tac nukes/Moabs, I've gotten on MW just cause I throw out a smoke nade, and enemies think it's safe to go in... Bad idea. I use them to trap people. |
