Really. We can't take a quick look around us, and we can't look up!
And with the broken mini map, and quite frankly lobotomised indicator icons along the edges of the screen, we can tell where any enemy in range really are, unless we do a 360, and get lucky to catch him. That takes a minute. |

your default view is in third person...wich is OP as it is
IMHO tanks should have only a first person view
would even the playing field a bit |

I just want to be able to take a quick look around, without having to leave the tank (there are idiots everywhere, who think nicking a tank is the epitome of team play), or wait for my tank and turret to turn. |

well you cant have your cake and eat it too
there has to be some trade offs for heavy armor
and if ya want better SI (situational awareness) then get on the mic and talk with team mates to stay on the move or start dumping skill points into turret speed |

Things will get better with good comms. However the icons do need to be fixed and as for the first person view that would balanced only with much faster turning or vastly improve radar functionality otherwise the AV infantry would just be able to walk from anywhere not right in front of the tank and kill.it with ease. |

If you want a quick look around use a drop ship. A tank is supposed to be a gun and some armor not a bulletproof ferrari with a nuke launcher.
BTW the guys on the top turrets and bottom turrets can only look where the driver lets them. If we had a comms channel dedicated to the tank and everyone on comms this would be a good way to drive around as a squad. Top turret of a tank only has about 270 degree turn ability on the right side and the bottom gunner only about 180 degrees on the front of the tank. Teamwork in turning the correct way so the top and bottom gunners have targets is key to operating them effectively. |

tanks are really meant as a team player vehicle. that being said, it does take an unusually long time to have a little look around. But if I remember correctly the tank moves quicker than the turret head, and when you move so does the turret head, so i would use the ENTIRE tank to have a quick look around.
and tanks are a bit like dogs in that they cant look up. Bit bullshit to me really but whatever, tanks cant do EVERYTHING... |
