Yep I've said it, in this build, vehicles are overpowered. Why? because their meant to be. What do you think is going to happen when you have an relatively open battlefield, devoid of many enclosed spaces, and no interior combat? this goes for the Camping drop ships, the Tank spawning, etc. And I think anyone would easily see that the point mainly of this build is to test the vehicles. why else would they make tanks and drop ships militia, Remove any narrow areas restricting vehicle manoeuvrability, and any interior combat? Do you really think the devs didn't think this through? I just want to be clear, I'm not complaining about the overpowered vehicles, after all, that's why there heavy armour. I'm not hear complaining about drop ships camping on roofs, (though I do think they should take more damage when the crash straight into me going 100 miles an hour, one thinks that would just be basic physics!) or one hit kills from the Cannons (seriously most foolish complaint ever. What did you think that thing was shooting, a water gun?). Will I curse when I get killed by a tank I didn't see, yes. Will I mean it, no. Do I sometimes say the games stupid when I get killed by a forge gun, yes. Am I right, no. There's a reason for everything in the game, open areas are for vehicular combat, heavies are for Anti vehicle combat and static defence, ergo they are meant to be heavily armoured and if anything the lower tiers need a boost. In closing, I'd like to say, just have a little faith in the devs, they, as it's been said before, know what there doing, and just take a look at the map, I think you'll see as I do, that it was probably made solely for the purpose for vehicle testing, and remember the basics of warfare, for every defence, there's an offensive, and for ever offensive there's a counter attack. Now I'd ask you all to play nice if your planning on posting responses, but I guess there's little chance of that. |

They'll Probably go if people complain about them enough, and to be honest, it doesn't make sense for them to be there, I mean how many militias have tanks?

I earn less than 1 tank cost per match and I haven't ever had a surplus of 10 tanks saved up due to my losses. I have almost a 4-1 k-d ratio.
I pay the price to use my tank and I'd say I am one of the better tank users in beta right now.
I do think the missile turrets are a bit overpowered with splash damage, as they barely have to aim to get a kill, I prefer my blaster as it takes more skill on my part and eats other vehicles for lunch.
My biggest enemy are group swarms and remote explosives. Although a highly skilled forge gunner hurts like hell.
I do think that the lock range of swarms is a bit too long, as they can currently sit on top of the damn CC and spam missles with no way of shooting them back. Either lock range needs nerfed or flight time of the swarms, damage is spot on.
If you hate my tank so much, make a suit with remote explosives, AV grenades and swarms/forge. You will kill me solo if you are in the right position. You die, you maybe lose 15k, I die, I lose 300k.
I never said I hate tanks, in fact, I support them, as they make teamwork more of an imperative. I'd disagree with lowering the Swarm launchers range and speed though, they should make the loading time longer though. |

My tank costs 250k. I get one killed every 2-3 matches, and I'm by no means a poor driver. I have poured basically all my (5M) SP into the tank. I expect to be doing better than people who haven't so specialized, and I expect to be doing better than people who have a smaller investment in their hardware.
So, from the top again: 1) People kill my tank every 2-3 games or so. Sometimes I get 5 games in a row without dead, sometimes I die twice in a row in the same game and give up spawning the tank. a) a single forge gunner can kill my 250k tank (often because I can't find them to kill them back) b) a single viper with a good pilot and gunners can render my tank ineffective or kill it c) non militia launchers are far more effective at killing tanks. 2) High SP, High cost tanks should take a team of people to bring down because: a) they took a lot of SP to train and there should be some payout for that b) they take a lot of isk to field and there should be some payout for that
I agree with point two, but I think that should depend more on fitting? |

Nah, can't see them nerfing vehicles and still saying they want this to be a HC game. My opinion would be, make it like flashpoint. |
