Currently, X does nothing in vehicles that I'm aware of, and turning on active modules is a bit of a pain. What if the module was "equipped" by selecting it on the wheel, then turned on by pressing X? By default, the first module would be on standby (shield rep if you have one, then armor rep, etc), then you could switch as you needed. Would make the whole process much more fluid than it currently is, and would have minimal impact on combat. As it is, you have to stop aiming and shooting for a while, even if it's a split second. In games like this, that split second could make all the difference. Not to mention it's just more convenient in general.

i agree that module activation while driving is bad, many times you find it didnt turn on or if it did you end up crashing as your vehicle veered of to the direction the module was mapped, in the LAVs its especially crazy,
maybe mapping them to the unused buttons while driving would be better |

I like that idea,
doesn't seem to interfer with anything to my knowledge

currently, you hold R2 push up and let go with that still pushed up to have it activated. |

I think that they should be shown on the screen along the bottom, selected with left and right D-pad (since those either aren't used, or not needed while already in a vehicle) and then activated with R2.
This way, if you had dual reppers you could activate both in rapid succession if you needed. Or if you have dual logistics, you could use them both quickly.
The HAV's I would say are the easiest to use, since they are the slowest moving, followed by the Dropship, you can get into a hover and then do your thing. The LAV is the worst. Its impossible to use stuff unless you park. |

Unfortunately, you can't run two actives at the same time. Tried doing this with shield and armor reps in my madrugar, once the shield one started the armor wouldn't, needless to say it got popped.
The only reason I think the wheel should be used is because it would be easy to implement, and be similar to weapon equips for infantry. Definitely agree that the module should be shown along the bottom, however. |
