you could also instead of hiding in the spawn crying about it being to hard to escape go put out droplinks and help the team. |

Heartless!!!!! valid point LMFAO ROFL - guarantee all of that was said by people who camp to boost their K/D.
it's not camping when your standing at the border begging them to come over and play.instead of getting out of the spawn they hide and cry , maybe toss a grenade and hope for the best.IF YOU ARE BEING SPAWN CAMPED then you are on the weaker team either because of you or in spite of you.i have camped and been camped, only difference between others and myself is that i man up and deal with it either by getting out and putting out droplinks or by thinning the herd enough for my team to cut through. But not by complaining about my inability to adjust to the situation at hand. |

No. not really, as the enemy can see them with a big fat icon...and then waif for a little while till a few spawns, and then drop a rocket on it. Anyone in the countdown phase have to restart the spawn selection, further denying the enemy their players for another 10 seconds.
i suppose you are right because i only put droplinks in open areas of the map so they can be seen from near and far.i would never think to hide them in a rarley used area of the map or way behind enemy lines where they are no longer spawning.or egad behind something..heaven forbid. |

It doesn't matter where you put them. When a dropship is camping A-point from the top of the tower while a tank and 2 enemy infantry camp the A-point spawn with remote explosives, you're gonna have a REALLY hard time recapturing, even if you manage to get the team to work together from another spawn point. What's worse is that with a full team, the enemy can set this up at each capture point and still have a couple of floaters around the map taking out stragglers and your precious droplinks. Fact of the matter is, one static spawn point in each zone breaks the game.
i am sorry you are right bro its to hard to do...i will stop being so naive. i will try and complain about having no skill and begging devs to fix things that arent broken..speaking of devs please fix the loading screen i would like it to have little big planets music with mags opening sequence.(takes a sarcastic chin grabbing pose and awaits dumb answer) |

I can't decide what's funnier: the fact that you try to be sarcastic or that your sarcasm contradicts itself. The only dumb responses here are yours, since you think that camping equates to skill and/or in-game creativity. Even gate camping in EVE is more reasonable than in DUST since ships come out of a jump randomly around the gate; they could be 5 meters from you, they could be 10 kilometers, depending on your placement. Distance determines feasibility of the gank, you see, as it does in DUST. But if you keep funneling players through the same spawn point you remove the uncertainty and one idiot with tank can hold it for several minutes. You seem to think that we all complain that recovery is impossible. No, it's not. But the time gains from camping (and conversely, the losses for the camped team) are too great to be balanced. Why put recapturing in the game if you can't stay alive long enough to do it? Hell, you KNOW it's camping when the enemy doesn't even have a particular capture point but is mowing down your team from the tower anyways. It blows their kills and subsequent skill gains out of proportion. The unbalance continues. And for the record, I NEVER begged for anything. On the contrary, I pointed out a flaw in the design of a game in BETA. You know, the phase where we find these bugs and report on them, like we all did here? Quick fix man...don't lose all your spawns. i am not going to debate the merit for or against spawn camping.i dont have a problem with it.do i like it when it happens to me.NO but i deal with it.i dont say it is unbalanced because i have gotten myself backed into a corner i work with what i have.maybe our skill sets are different but when i get camped i almost always find a quick way out.gun game works wonders on a console.lets just agree to dissagree and also that i am right. |

Predicted response: "Then get another dropship and go up to kill him." Great, will do, after another 10-20 seconds in spawn and then another 10-20 seconds waiting for the dropship. More time that could be spent playing and enjoying the game rather than having to quick-fix something that shouldn't exist in it at all. Predicted response: "The point isn't to have fun, it's to win. If you can't, your skill isn't up to par." Definition of GAME from Websters: "activity engaged in for diversion or amusement." I play for entertainment, enjoyment, fun. Everyone does, let's be honest. I'm not saying to make everyone winners so the game is more fun, get over yourself. I'm saying fix an exploit with the game so we can all get on with the beta and enjoy our time with it.
Last I checked, when a player can use a particular tactic to get dozens of kills without much consequence, it's called an exploit.
let me point something out that you may not be privy to..the point of the beta is to play as you would if it were the finished product.do everything you can to stress the server and in general do all the things the devs never thought you would.then point out what you think may be wrong or offer suggestions for possible fixx's.now as for your exploit explaination i use my particular gun tactic (run around and murder at will) without much consequence...does this mean i am an exploit worthy of being "fixed" or am i unbalanced?and by the way just get a drop ship and go kill that guy....and also just remember 2nd place is just the first loser. |
