When you are crouching you should automatically stand up when you press the sprint button. And for the love of god add the ability to go prone! What, in the future no one is able to lay on the ground to make themselves a smaller target? C'mon, even Battlefield caved in and added this ability! |

+1 Prone and Sliding should be added. Better now to show the guys worried about slowing combat down that it's not that bad. Plus I like to be sneaky why just cater to the guys that want fast paced action? |

You're a sniper/machine gunner and you've found the perfect hill. Its curves are lush with all the perfect slopes and dimples. You gently wedge yourself down in them and take to doing your duty when you realize you're just standing on a hill like a 'tard and are an easy target for everything. Literally everything, too. Now if you could go prone, you'd be perfectly nestled in the soft bosom of the earth. The bad side? You're head is easier to hit now :O |

+1 for stand upon sprinting and prone, would also like to see a slight movement speed boost when crouched. |

Prone is something else for someone to cry about besides the bunny hop. Don't see the need for it but if I had it I would use it for diving under fire. Kinda stuck between wanting and not wanting, gotten use to not having it.
on topic stand upon sprinting sounds nice but I dont crouch. |

There are 2 ways a game can include prone as an option.
1. It slows the pacing of the game down, which in my opinion, would be a bad thing for DUST.
2. It's easily-exploited and leads to an even worse version of bunnyhopping where you're not only a near-impossible target, but you're a practically head-sized target and the hitboxes can't keep up well enough to allow consistent headshots in spite of the head being literally the only thing you could possibly have hit in many cases.
Find a way to include prone as an option without causing one of those problems, and I'll support it being in DUST.
Auto-stand when sprinting makes perfect sense, and a sliding mechanic would be nice, but I don't think prone is a good idea. |

standing from crouch on run seems relatively simple to add and very useful, specially since the crouch button has seemed unresponsive to me on many occasions.
I'm indifferent to prone-I could appreciate it but don't think it's as necessary as most other things for the resources it may require to add and adjust it to a working/balanced state. I hate when prone states often allow people to glitch through objects for various advantages or be inversely stifled by environment clipping your FOV or blocking your seemingly clean shot...and feet hanging through walls getting people killed is more silly then dying to foot shots alone.
running while reloading would also be nice and doesn't seem too hard to make happen. |

I rarely camp. It would be nice to be able to reduce how big of a target I am when I'm trying to recharge my shields though. Plus if there is going to be snipers in the game, they HAVE to camp. So it would be a good feature to make them smaller targets to improve their effectiveness.
And so far nobody has mentioned the obvious disadvantages to being prone, which are 1) you can't flee from enemy fire as fast and 2) it makes you a sitting duck to anyone who manages to sneak up on you.
And for the record, I HATE snipers, but there are people who enjoy doing it so this would make that a more viable option. I have only been killed once by a sniper in this game, that suggests that sniping isn't very effective. |

This is an avantage to the KB/M. d/k if this has ben fix or not . only played one weekend. So sorry if this is old news if this has ben fix.

No need for prone. Prone would slow down the pace of the game dramatically. It would turn into quite a lot of people laying on the ground pixel-sniping each other like in BF3. No thanks. I'd rather people be always on the move and things be really dynamic. |

You really want to go prone with the current collision set ingame? Dude.. that's your bane.
Why do I say this? Try creeping up close to a corner and just barely nudging your gun's nose to angle around the edge, then pull the trigger. Congratulations, you just shot the wall! Now, imagine that with the floor instead. Your bullets would leave inside the floor collision area... thereby not allowing you to shoot 50% of the time.
You don't have to have prone to see this in action, just rent a militia tank --preferably with a railgun. Roll it behind a low-lying hill, and angle your gun just over the top of the hill to something in the distance. Even though you can see clean through to your target in first-person targeting mode you will hit the air above the hill, and be surrounded by a cloud of useless dust. |

Prone. Because Dust needs campers too.
I do back the stand upon sprinting idea, but keep prone out of the game. Keeping a low profile like that just encourages camping. The higher profile of a crouched sniper makes you think about where you're going to be sniping, instead of plopping behind that pebble or extremely low rise. |

It's curious that Prone is regarded as a"camping incentive" when vehicles are the ultimate camping tool. |

I say that prone position should have a damage multiplier added if they make a 'headshot' which then travels though the whole body. Also more detectable from air. |

This is a good point, but it's still BETA and the collision issues can be worked out. Testing prone shortly after would not be a bad idea. I really think it's a basic yet essential ability in an FPS. |

sprinting from crouch is a must, and prone would be cool but only scout suits should be able to do it, and it would be good if the sniper rifles had bipods so you could hold the bloody thing steady when prone |

There are PLENTY of FPS games which don't have a prone option. It slows the game down, or it becomes a cheap exploitable trick (usually in CQC, where prone SHOULD be at its least useful). If someone can provide mechanics for it which circumvent the problems which happen in EVERY SINGLE FPS GAME WITH THIS OPTION SO FAR, EVER, I'll back their idea. Until then, I'm still against it.
Stand-on-sprint is a MUST. So is the ability to interrupt reload with melee, and so is a clarification of the reload animation timing.
But prone is almost certainly a bad idea. |

Furthering the notion of crouch breaking through sprint activation. There have been many times now where it seems intuitive that by sprinting I would automatically stand and begin to run that I have lost many precious seconds all told, especially when hacking those red zone installations!
Also supporting the inclusion of a prone stance, with benefit of greater aim stability, at a modest cost of horizontal turning speed, a more moderate penance in vertical adjustment, and a delay in standing up/being able to shoot freely. |

I'm all for the ability to sprint from crouch, but I have mixed feelings about using prone. I think it would be cool to have it implemented, see how it affects the game, and then have the community and developers make a decision.
One thing you could do with prone to balance it would be make it where once you go prone you have a limited horizontal arch that you can move through before you have to crouch and reposition. On the other hand you could make turning while prone VERY slow. Thant way as some other posters mention if someone gets the drop on you you're dead. |
