I don't understand why there's this giant "anti-goon" campaign in the first place. I play EVE and I stay out of Goonspace. The universe is realistically too big for them to chase me around every system I frequent without over-extending themselves into territory they are not welcome in. I anticipate that DUST will be the same way.
The EVE universe is a giant self-regulating sandbox: if someone with a near-infinite supply of ISK decided they wanted to corner the high-sec missile market in Caldari space they would never accomplish that task because SOMEONE would do direct sales to players as it would then be the advantageous thing to do. Even if that didn't happen, players can train up manufacturing skills and make them on their own. The amount of effort required to "bust" the market in any given commodity in a relatively moderate amount of space is pretty much unattainable and even if attained, is certainly unsustainable over long periods of time.
So let's say that you try and bust Goonswarm. Do you realize that you'd then be fighting every single merc in the game? Do you truly not understand how much ISK they have? I promise you that if you tried to get things off the ground in low/null sec, and they REALLY did not like you that you would exist for maybe a day on any given planet. Dangle a 50MM completion contract over my head and I'll kill anyone for any reason in game.
To clarify: I don't care if you're a goon, a merc, a dolphin, or whatever. I am a gun for hire. I go where the money is and have no political connections [u]whatsoever[u]. Would things be easier if I had a planet of my own to do stuff? Maybe, but I'll contract that management out. Do what you're good at, that's what my Dad used to say... and I'm quite proficient when it comes to fragging idiots, not so much with running planets.
TL;DR Version: Stop posting propaganda and trying to suck people into your campaign to pick a fight with the largest, most well funded, nihilistic corporation in EVE. It is not only a pointless battle that you won't win, but is also unprofitable, and personal. Disguising yourself behind the anonymity of the internet and multiple accounts (Nameless 514 is Zion Shad if you haven't figured it out yet) is a terrible thing, especially when it's done with the intention of suckering people in to your cause. When this game goes live I will hold no enmity towards you... but if the money is good I will take every pleasure in wiping you off the servers. |
