So far from what I am seeing this is shaping up to be a really fun and interesting game and brings back fond memories of Planetside. Seeing as we are just seeing only a small part of what the game is going to end up being was a bit of a let down but at this point like i said it looks good. I have seen a lot of idea's floating around the Forum on this needs nerfed, this is op, this is unfair, but in the long run this is war and war is not fair. But as for all the complaints of the game there are still more maps, game modes, and other things being set up that will make this game a true monster on the console.
I like the skill setups and what is required to get it. What I would like to see is something to help you plan ahead. Like lets say you want to get the next armor set. Right now you have to check the market find the armor and view the requirements. For some things it gets annoying to go back a forth to make sure you have the required skills. Why not add a bookmark type feature that allows you to hi-light required skill needed to get that armor so went you train you know what you need. Make the skill another color and if the item requires you to level up one skill to get another skill then make that light up on your skill list. Working for the skills I need makes me more invested in the item and makes me feel like I accomplished something.
For the random FPS matches some sort of balance to the que so people that just come into the game are not pitted up against someone with prototype weapons, armor, and equipment. Like take the average level of all of their skills and place them with the same or similar average level. This way someone who focuses on ground combat upgrades will be fighting people who focused on tank set ups. It will reduce the frustration of not being able to do anything to in the match and allow more people to get in. On Saturday i counted about 4000+ people on and on Sunday it never went above 2500 people. I am sure the drop in players playing was do to the people logging in on Saturday fighting the people that played all day Friday. Keep in mind this will only be for random battles and not when you are hired to take a planet for EVE players and I will hold off comments on that as that was not being tested this weekend.
Friendly fire should be added into the game at some point as I am sure it will be. It makes it so people are not just firing at everything that moves and will make the anti vehicles weapons and grenades not used at point blank range. The penalty should be similar to the WoT's. You shoot a team mate and you have to pay them for damages out of your own pocket. For the sake it is Beta and things are still being worked on and tweaked, turning off the friendly fire is OK. Right now the only way I have seen people team kill is landing a dropship on your own team.
Tanks on buildings are annoying and dropships raining down missiles from on top of a tower is also annoying. I will fully admit I spawn tanks on top of a building and use it as a mobile turret. I have no problem with it because when I am on the ground and see a tank or drop ship perched I back up my tank until I have the angle I need and blow them up. If it really is a problem that the Devs want to fix then a suggestion about tanks on building is make the ship that brings them in only choose a spot on the ground near the player. They have area's now where you can not call in for things, I know because when my Dropship got shot down I landed on the pipes and tried to call for another Dropship to get out of their and it told me there was no area for it to land.
How about a timer for when you call down a tank or something that gives you the ETA on when it arrives. That way you know how long you are boned until it arrives and also lets you know if you did call one down. I have had it on more then one occasion when I called for my tank and waited a good min and nothing. It told me it was coming and did not say the 5 vehicles limit on the battlefield was reached. Yes i did see how many i could call out at once, my team still won but sorry to say they had to support vehicles.
My friend and I both got the invite to the Beta weekend and wanted to play on the same side seeing as I am more of a tank player and she is more of an infantry player. But when we tried to group there was no option to and when ever we qued at the same time we ended up on opposite teams. We ended up requeing until we got on the same side or got fed up and made sure we were on different maps. I personally would like that option to que with another person if i choose for the random battles.
But in the long run my take on the game is it is headed in the right direction and should be a very good game for the dedicated EVE/Dust player. |

I like the idea of an ETA for vehicle drops. |

+1 on the ETA.
If FF is turned on, we need to have the HUD indicators on for friendlies 24/7. Can't tell you how many times I've been rolling around in a tank and my gunners start blasting allied armor until we get close enough for the indicator to show up (Dust NBSI, anyone?)
Even if FF isn't turned on, would be nice to have those indicators for tactical reasons as well. |

I agree on improving the indicators distinguishing allies and foes because sometimes the HUD will not display this information if they're beyond 200+ meters from you. |
