It will be nice addition to it. Since there's no prone position, it will be really nice to run and slide for cover similar to Killzone 3. |

...As in press crouch near a wall to snap to it? Bad idea here. Sliding maybe, but no cover system. |

I say cover would be good but let different suits use it slightly differently example heavies don't get to use it at all scouts could use low wall and should they choose just hop over it assaults would have to go around... Not sure where logis or the other suits would fit in... Guess simplest way to set what suit do what is by using there current possible moving speed to decide what they can and can't do |

I rather have CCP implement the ability to go prone than utilize a sticky cover system. |

Usually I really dislike cover systems in fps games, they just dont feel right. But the cover system in Killzone always felt great to me. It doesn't feel like your stuck to the wall unlike a lot of other games, and whilst up agains it your still have a good amount of movement without having to move away from the wall.
I'm not sure if it would really fit in with this game, but I'm sure if ti was there I would make very good use of it since I play as a scout 95% of the time.
As someone suggested above, maybe the lighter and more agile the character the smoother the cover mechanics are for them?
Say, Scouts can really hunch up behind small cover, peek around really quickly so they can try get shots off without being out in the open for long.
Heavies can only be in cover large enough for them to stand behind, and they can't fire whilst peeking, to fire they must step out from cover first, which takes a second, and when they stop firing it takes a second to get back in, leaving them out in the open for longer. I've played a few games with a cover system like this, usually when you are carrying a very heavy weapon.
I remember one of the trailers they used to show there vision of the game had characters hiding behind cover and sliding, so I would assume it is something they have at very least considered at some point or another, but I'm sure its something they would want it to work in a way that flows at the right pace for the game, and I could see it being very tricky to get just right. |

I am not against cover systems. A good first person cover system would really help in differentiating this game's combat from other shooters, sliding would be nice as well. |

I'd love it if we crouched while running, we'd do a slide! |

Sliding maybe, but no cover system. I'd love it if we crouched while running, we'd do a slide! That's how Killzone 3 works last I checked. You run and press the crouch button, the character goes for a slide. |

I wouldn't mind a slide but i'd prefer if they didn't implement a cover system. Maybe a slide, and prone could be ok. If think just standing or crouching behind an object like you can do now is fine. |

The stamina system is a good way to prevent spamming these slides as well. Its the limiter no other FPS will implement! |
