Your points are completely ass backwards. Every FPS gamethat has come out recently is a shell of its original model i.e. BF series, COD series, SOCOM series and the ones that DO do something different have failed i.e. Killzone 3, Brink. Maybe do some research first? Have RPG's changed much at all? Truthfully, not really but they DO one thing successfully...they vary in a diverse way. Compare games like Eve, City of Heroes, WoW. Each has its own flair and caters to its own specific crowd and manages to remain successful. And this coming from a FPS player. I myself do not care for RPG's, but i know plenty of ppl that do.
