In other words this? Agreed, if so.

Its more about discipline, newer gamers are a little bit lazy, thats the real problem. No, not really. It's one thing to get podded and then return to a station and restock your capsule with ship and fittings, it's another thing entirely to get killed and returned to a respawn screen then told your dropsuit's invalid and have to flip through the Neocom to restock it.
As others have noted, it's simply a matter of streamlining the gameplay to fit the fact that this is a different type of game. |

If I want to mess around with the market while my team needs me to take an objective then I deserve an unwieldy interface to stop me from doing it. If my fitting will not work for the desired goal I get in a dropship or tank or lav to make up for the deficiency in my foresight. IMHO the battlefield is not the place to be purchasing a new set of sneakers people. Draco: it's not buying a new set of sneakers and it's not an absence of foresight involved with this. It's about the ability to restock a fully functional loadout for battle during the game more smoothly than the current setup of having to navigate through the Neocom to do so. |

This way, you could go and buy a batch of items, or just purchase one of each and at each spawn you'll be warned about the cost to reuse the suit one more time.
Accessing the regular user interface while in game can be a bit slow, and some times I try to restock while bleeding out and I run out of time and the interface closes so I have to go back to the menus. But is it really that hard to press start go to dropsuit fitting select the item your out of and remove or restock it It isn't hard, but it unnecessarily slows the pacing of the game. |

Adapt to a tiny bit of clunky UI design? Doesn't make sense. Doesn't apply to combat. Thus, adapt or die doesn't apply.

I ALWAYS make sure that I have 80-100 of each item before entering a battle. I ran out once in the previous BETA session and since then, I have always made sure that I am ready. Don't blame the game for your ****-poor planning before entering a battle. I am quite sure that you always make sure that you have enough ammo before heading out of station in EVE, the same applies here. This. Is. Not. EVE. Same universe, completely different styles of gameplay. This is about achieving the appropriate sort of pacing for this style of gameplay. Currently, it's being arbitrarily slowed because of STOCKPILEEVERYTHING.
EVE doesn't have you getting podded at every turn (if you know what you're doing), whereas by it's very basic nature, Dust does and will have you getting killed fairly frequently. |

EVE doesn't have you getting podded at every turn (if you know what you're doing), whereas by it's very basic nature, Dust does and will have you getting killed fairly frequently. You're basing that off of the DUST current build, which right now is very much run-and-gun style. The actual full release will not be played in this way due to the cost of dying will be much much greater. THAT is how it will be just like EVE. High-sec areas are likely to remain roughly similar to what we're seeing now. If players just getting into it find that it's either stockpile every bit of their loadout prior to battle or don't bother taking their isk-loadouts into the field, they're just going to end up jumping in for the occasional match and not progressing.
If anything, the implementation of a prompt to purchase items for your dropsuit fitting when it goes invalid at respawn will teach players to do what you suggest for the next matches they go into. An indirect guide, if you will. |
