Ok I decided it would be cool to have a physical mercenary pack to go with Dust when it's released (even though to my understanding it will be a free download). The basic idea behind this is kinda like a starter pack for when the game releases and a guide for when the game is launched.
I'm going to mainly list real items I would like in the merc pack that would be released if they decided to do one.
There could be 4 different packs remember Dust514 won't be available in the pack its a stand alone. (if they decided to do it lol.)
Basic pack - DUST514 Guide, Star map W/ weapons and their basic stats, and Locust Grenade (full sized).
Digital items - 1000 Aurum, and some basic gear to get you started that is a little better than default X50.
Est. Value $50.
Logistics pack - PS3 Bluetooth Headset,(Front) Physical Eve star map w/ (Back) weapons and their basics stats, DUST514 Guide, and Miniature replica of a DUST514 mercs standing next to each other. (the headset would have DUST514 logo printed on the side)
Digital items that would be given with a redeem code inside the box that includes - 1000 Aurum, nanite injector(s), Assault rifle(s), 1x HAV, 1x Dropship, 1x LAV(these would be one time use vehicles that require no skill to operate them). Maybe some other stuff depending on whatever can be cramed in there.
Est. Value $100.
Assault pack - PS Move controller, and everything included in the Logistics pack (except the PS3 Bluetooth headset.)
+ locust grenade replica (full sized)
Est. Value $150
Heavy pack - Everything included in the Logistics pack and the Assault pack. With an official DUST514 shirt.
Est. Value $200
I know EVE has some ship models available for sale so I threw in the Mini Merc collection with all 4 NPC factions included in one stand. Of course doesn't have to be exactly the things I mention just wanted to give an idea of some options I would like to see available when the game releases.
Feel free to like this if you want to see the same and offer up some suggestions below this was pretty much just off the top of my head. I'd love to see what everyone else is wanting. These would be pre-order only I'm thinking plus ups the value of them as collectibles. (limited edition) :P. except on the DUST Guide that should always remain available from the official website of course. Almost forgot the Digital items that would be included would also be available for purchase without the physical items so people don't have to spend $50 just to get that. I think that would run people about $8 bucks but that is affordable considering the game is free :P. |
