Ive been trying to get into the game since 11am and the loading takes 20m just to get to the character screen and another 15 to get a " servers are down" message. Which I know is nt the case because my friend just got on and into a game in 5m. This is really starting to annoy me. Ive tried restarting my ps3 and routed but it doesn't seem to work |

welcome to my world, been trying the same as well for an hour and a half now....I'm starting to think I'll have to wait till the servers are almost empty. |

I don't understand how it's only 3 of us having this issue. If it's happening to us it must be happening to others. And if it's not then wtf, this is a console, our systems are not different.
Either way, is there no dev response to something as game breaking as to not be able to log in?
And even for those who are able to log in, are there not epic loading screens for you? |

yay finally made it inside the game after getting another server down error... started exploring a bit...fearing the worst....and I found it while wondering what the prices of AUR were.....another load that won't finish....
EDIT: nvm, it just finished XD |

I used to have a fat 40gb, but mass effect 2 broke the blu-ray. So I got a new one...140 gb slim.
I live in canada, so us servers aren't far and I got 15mbit/s connection...not supposed to slow me down either |

right now I'm trying to buy a dropsuit.....just waiting...and waiting...and waiting even more....at least I can cancel...tried it once....had to restart the waiting XD

So we all have different PS3's with the same issue.
I'm in the US, I have no idea where the server(s) are. I have a 30MB connection and of course any other game works.
All I really want right now is my money back, which probably isn't going to happen. PS Store does not give refunds, and I doubt CCP would either.
You shouldn't SELL beta if it's in this condition. You don't SELL beta until it's quite good. They can argue that they SOLD me Aurum and other virtual items, but I was buying into this beta. |

Well they got my 20 bucks. First beta I've ever paid to get into, and I've been involved in all but a few MMO betas. I can at least promise them they won't get me back in Eve again. |

I'm having the same problem, it takes forever to get to the character screen.... actually, right now, I've been watching the "Establishing Uplink" screen for about 10 min, another problem but it's also a "loading screen"... |

awww common give it a day or two. its always rough in the Beta phase. And so far the game is not coming out until Nov-Dec time so you have great deal haded. And we all will get a wipe after the close beta. So your not missing out in SP in the long run. And am sure the Dev have taken notes. |

well I made it in the game....so farb I love the battles and all. But the market and the skills dopn't seem to load well.....right now I'm sutck on a skill buying load....

I'm probably over reacting due to day 1 excitement.
However, it brings up a few fears.
This isn't the first PS game with super long load times. Tekken 4 was horrible until you fully installed it and even then it was still bad. You'd sit through a couple of minutes of loading for one minute of fighting.
Will CCP be able to address loading screen times at all? Or are these not happening to everyone?
How is the network handling it? comparing call of duty on xbox and ps3 I have always had better performance on xbox, but I buy them on both because family plays on ps3 and my friends on xbox.
Game mechanics I'm not worried about, CCP will address those problems without much trouble. |

CCP / Devs apparently don't have a clue on what they're doing. Yes! I understand it's a BETA, and there will be issues. But not being able to get past the character screen is ludicrous. How many servers are you running???? You don't put out a BETA so it is not possible for one not to be able to log on. You want people to log on .... YES! Then freakin fix it. I wasted $20.00 ( not so much the amount, but the principle ). Very PI$$ poor planning CCP. Your not gaining any notoriety / favoritism from me
I challenge any DEV / CCP employee to reply to this post. This is a horrible start to what could be an awesome game. There is absolutely no reason for it taking soooooooo long just to be able to completely log in. |

Nicely said. Devs and GMs are answering questions such as why it transforms f words into the word kitten and other ridiculously unimportant issues, but you won,t even give us a little hi on the 3 threads we made so far about this subject.
I mean, of course glitches and bugs are an important issue, but in my opinion, getting people INTO the game should be the firsrt step. I mean, whon cares about a glitch when he can't even get to the part where that glitch happens.
So far I,ve seen a total of 6 people on the forum with the same issue as me, there HAS to be more.
I'm in for the challenge. Come on, we dare you! At least welcome us into the world of Dust loading screens or something.... XD |

Having the same issue. 40GB 2nd Gen PS3. Reinstalled DUST. Even reset my router. Same spinning circle of doom as the little dropships fly down to the planet and the music stops. It's so quiet....
Got to the character selection screen three times in the 4 hours I've been trying, and never past that without a "Servers are unavailable" message. |

I have been closed beta testing before the 2.0 update (this new public beta update).
After the user agreement screen I was stuck 10-15 minutes waiting to get to the character creation screen.
The server kicked me out. I waited another 10-15 minutes. Made a character. At the end of that, I had to wait 10-15 minutes to be taken back to the character selection screen. I select my character, and it never loads. The spinning circle just spins.
Then I get timed out by the server. 
They have not said anything regarding the issue?

2.0 update does NOT mean public beta! It is still closed. Some Dev posted something about that somewhere on the board. |

So after the *2.0 update every time I log in it validates and uploads the new files. Reaches the start screen, and nothing. Just stays loading. 
If I'm lucky it takes me to the character start screen, I select my character back to the circle spinning and it goes back to the character select.
All of this with 10-20 minute intervals. |

I'm getting the horrendous loading circle of doom before the character selection page. Was finally able to create a character and find this thread.
The loading screen. It's so hypnotic. |
