do you think the current ps controller is good enough for it? i always think controller are lacking in terms of button. pc have the kb which is buttongod compared to controller.
do you think its time to upgrade the controller?
2 shoulder button + 1 trigger on each side. 8 direction button instead of the 4 direction. north, south, east, west + northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest? 6 face buttons instead of the 4 face button it have now?
what do you think too much or too dumb? |

Technically, the D-pad already has 8 directions...
6 face buttons though, would be a good thing, seriously. But it would mean a bigger controller, you can't make the buttons smaller just so they fit, lots of people have fat fingers xD
About the R1/L1 R2/L2 buttons, keep R2 and L2 the way they are, but split the R1 and L1 button into two separate buttons each, I think that should be doable, but the construction of the controller's internal components would need to be that of a higher rigidity, so the components don't break as easily as they would normally.
Now we just need to share this idea with a 3rd party controller company who might be up to the task and we'll make some money!
Who am I kidding...we won't make anything...

We're all so closed minded... Why don't we have foot controllers as well, problem solved without ruining the nice simplicity of the humble gamepad.
Or in a more sane approach, there are 4 fingers that almost never touch a button, unless you're playing one handed... For while eating, or writing, or on the phone... Or masturbating... Don't forget to wash your hands... |

Remember, the PS4 controller has a touchpad that can be used as 5 extra buttons: up, down, left, right and press.
Put your flags up in the sky.
And wave them side to side.
Show the world where you're from.
Show the world we are one.

I wanted to ask to replace that with a 3x2 inch touch lcd right in the controller, it can serve as an extra screen for the game, and extra input for the controller. |
