Now we know Nova have some progress. Can CCP specify what payment plan is decided for Nova?
This is the foundation for Nova as it will look in the future.

Pretty much. If they're still deciding on things like "How many dropsuits can you bring to a match", they're nowhere near figuring out details about how much things are going to cost, much less releasing that information.

Yeah. I somewhat wonder if you are going to have to pay for "extra" dropsuit slots like character/other slots in other games. The other games I am referring to are F2P though which Nova may not be.

I somewhat question it that they would go and use a sub system. Heck eve became a semi half arsed F2P game now. Its probs gonna be F2P again.

Deep F2P with microtransactons system can be very destructive for the game. It puzzles me. Eg. 'For the Honor' at the start was great but to deep microtransation keep me bothering how it will go and now we get '95% people out stage'. I know not only this is a factor but this is related.
Eve change now and CCP can create strange model there ;)

I would only imagine free-to-play now that Eve Online has gone that route.
If they want to perfectly emulate the Eve system, they could adopt the concept of the Alpha and Omega clones where Alpha players are limited to their specific empire in which they are created in terms of dropsuit, weapon, and module progression along with a cap on how far you can progress with each class of dropsuit.
But if they want to go the Dust 514 route and just go full free-to-play only this time with carefully implemented microtransactions (unlike Dust 514's microtransactions which were a mess).
The other option is the make it a one-time payment game plus free updates like you would see in Overwatch.

It really depends on whether they want a large community where a fair amount of the people contribute money towards cosmetics like in Overwatch and CS:GO or whether they want a tiny community where there is a tight group of people that contribute more than half the revenue of the game like you see in mobile games and many other free to play games.
They can also go substitution based, but that seems to be phasing out with consumers.

Knowing CCP, they would prefer to have a large community. But unfortunately that's not usually attainable for them in the immediate term especially after so many players got put off by the hype train they previously showed which only ended going off the rails like Ozzy Osborne's Crazy Train.

I would like to see a Rocket League set up where they charge for the game at the outset, but sell purely cosmetic options. For instance, they can have a set of suits and rifles that are cosmetic variations of the standard sets. Maybe those items could be sold as a set, and have attachments to EVE lore.
Then, every few years when they have a major expansion, they can charge, while other lesser expanions will be free to all, much like how RL gives new stadiums and play modes for free.
It would be a reasonable way to have a continuous revenue flow, while not being onerous to the players.

Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.
