List what you'd like added or changed on the new game's forum compared to Dust's forum, do you want it exactly the same, or improved?
My list:
- MANY more emoji options, possibly even animated ones
- Text customization options in signatures, such as font size, style and color
- Dislike buttons
- Ability to post images, GIFs and videos directly into the post, be it for entertainment purposes or purely informational. I imagine the GIFs would be used in the "Locker Room" kind of forum section
- Different background image upon every visit (disregard if too complex)

Despite being a meh game littered with problems... Planetside 2 has great forums (mechanically that is).
My favorite part: when you click on the notification for a thread you're subscribed to or click on a thread you've read before but has new posts, it goes to the first unread post. Really hate this place with how it just goes to the last post and you have to backtrack.
Other good features:
-It gives a separate and properly worded notification if your post was quoted.
-A subscribed thread that has new posts will give you just 1 alert regardless of the quantity of new posts. Likes and quoted replies are given separate notifications.
-GIFs, pictures, and YouTube videos can be embedded in posts or the signature. Needing to use imgur/YT links for everything is silly and inconvenient. (I understand the reasoning behind excluding those from sigs, but the character limit here is AWFUL)
Take notes, CCP.
Things you guys did right:
-The monochromatic color scheme and the background look great. I also greatly prefer white text on a dark background, as it's easier on the eyes at night.
-Including race/faction and the corp/alliance is always a good thing.
Suggestions:
-Maybe choosing which suit type to display would be cool (as in Scout/Assault/Logi/Commando/Sentinel). If there's a "membership" or "premium" kind of thing going on, perhaps one could choose an officer suit to display, if there is any. (THERE'S GONNA BE OFFICER GEAR, RIGHT?)
-I would also like it if any racial suit can be displayed, as the gear we use defines us and not the (possibly uninformed) decision we made at character creation. I'm Gallente but used mostly Minmatar things. Of course race and subfaction should be displayed; but for the avatar, one's fave suit would be much more representative of the player.
-Building on that, vehicles and maybe weapons should be an option for the avatar.

This is how far we're reaching for conversation, huh? Well, I'll bite.
The default Corp boards were decent but I would have like a few more options. Furthermore, I would have liked if Corp Announcements posted here could have automatically be sent as mail in game rather than writing each separately. In any case, my corp ended up creating its own separate forum from here which had its own pros and cons.
For a little further info, I like evegate and hope Nova has functionality like that. For those that don't know, you have a shout board, mail, and calendar for scheduling events that all connect to EVE along with being able to modify your in game profile outside of game.
I cannot be bought, but I can be leased.

Photon gear thread should be pinned to the top as a reminder of the suffering people had in Dust that lead to Nova's creation.
Also an "auto-salt" button... Instead of wasting our time rehashing the same old insults time and time again, hitting the saltyness button would just post up a random insult for you... This would save a lot of man hours on the forum. |

A dislike button is unnecessary, there's enough salt on the forums as there is without people making uneccessary enemies.
