As far as I can tell the Consoles are becoming more and more like PC's from a hardware and software perspective. By the time the PS5 rolls out it will just be a PC with less buttons. Conversion of PC games to run on consoles should become easier.
However, I did not think the PS3 had enough buttons for DUST. I would rather hit one button to do something than have to go two menus deep in the middle of a fire fight to do something. So, unless the PS4 or PS5 has more buttons than the PS3 has, I would rather have Nova on PC.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Dust 514 is by far the best FPS shooter ever made. I will never understand why it was launched on PS3 when everyone was switching over to PS4. This was doomed from day one. Launch an amazing game that was some years ahead of its time on an outdated platform. Amazing nonsense from CCP.
I truly believe that Dust would be a huge success on PS4. All those big name shooters out there are crap. Empty. Nothing worth playing. Dust 514 is in a league of it's own. The most important thing our game needed was a platform where we could build our player database but this was never possible.
I truly hope someone at CCP will start to reconsider re-launching Dust 514. There's a huge gap in the market for a quality FPS on PS4 and XBox. Learning from past mistakes and using all the groundwork made for Dust can surely mean something. Just DoIt CCP. Sir Petersen, I would be interested to hear your opinion on what made DUST better than COD and other FPS games? Just about everything. The EVE world is amazing. DUST was a shooter for the advanced gamer. Manus Peak :) The maps. The community. The overall gameplay and experience. I can go on and on. I said it then and I'll say it now. DUST514 is the best ever made. I would say we are on the same page as to what made DUST great.
The problem DUST had, well one of the problems, was that all this great stuff was layered over rather clunky FPS mechanics. Those triple A FPS games might have nothing on DUST when it comes to content, but their FPS mechanics are smooth. A lot of people that where used to those other games found DUST to feel clunky and did not stick around long enough to realize all the great stuff DUST had going for it.
That is why I am optimistic about NOVA. People who played the NOVA demo last year at Fan Fest reported that the FPS mechanics were as smooth as any tipple A FPS game. Now they did say it felt generic at that time, but we also know that CCP has spent the past year adding the EVE Universe flavor. Their approach this time around was to build real solid FPS mechanics to begin with, so that then they would have a strong foundation to build the rest of the game on top of. I feel this was the right approach.
NOVA will not be exactly like DUST, but it will retain most of the things we felt were DUST's strengths. Only when NOVA is released they want it to feel finished, unlike DUST on release which just felt like an extended Beta Test, and with the game feeling finished they can advertise it, get a larger player base, start making money, and be able to afford to put a lot more development into things like adding Planetary Conquest, cross game EVE integration, and Vehicles in future expansions.
